I had a great experience – This isn't a review on the warranty company, although Samsung was awesome in handling the manufacturer defect of my 46" LCD Television. This is a review for Precision Television Repair and my experience with them specifically. My TV is four years old and just now developed a problem with it's power supply board. Apparently some of the capacitors were defective and a class action lawsuit had been settled years ago over it. End result, Samsung had agreed to dispatch a local repair service for a one time in-home repair to resolve the issue with that model, regardless of warranty status. After contacting Samsung on a Saturday and arranging the repair, Samsung selected Precision Television Repair for my service call. After processed the authorization, Samsung told me I would be receiving a call from the repair shop within 48 hours. Monday morning, a gal from Precision called to schedule the repair. She offered me an AM or PM four hour window on Tuesday. I chose the AM and she advised me that the repairman would follow-up that evening to narrow it down to a two hour window. I got the call from Luis that night and he confirmed he'd be there the next morning between 9 and 11am. He arrived at 9:00am sharp and had completed the repair within 30 minutes. The power supply board is good as new and I'm a very satisfied customer of Precision Television Repair.
television problem – i have a precession tv and there is a flat blue line across the scream what is the problem? i need some help
Precision TV horrible customer service – I took a half of a day off from work, I was given an appointment for 8-12 am by the warranty agency, I get a call from the technician the morning of that he is arriving between 1-3 pm. I called both companies twice and I got the run around. I ask to speak the owner but I got Jesus and a "we aren't coming out at all." I'm stuck with this warranty because it was purchased at Circuit City. I don't understand why would companies do business with Precision TV if they have so many complaints about their customer service. Precision TV is a scam and provides the poorest of customer service. I'm told that the technician makes his own schedule. I was lied to about the technician calling the day before. PRECISION TV HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will never buy a warranty again. one star is too good for them
What'ever happened to costumer service? – I have had multiple issues reguarding my dlp telivision in that past 4 months, lets just say 100 of the 120 days my telivision has sat dead. Theres is alot to say about the company that i decided to buy the tv from so please take it from me when buying an item worth a large sum of money, due as much homework into the companys warranty as much of the product you are deciding to buy. Trust me you do not want to be the one typing this, you would rather be the one reading this. Precision tv is a typical company out there with a goal of doing buisness as quickly and productive as possible, these days theres no other choice for companys. Precision tv works as a middle man, being that the company and your self as the first and third party. Thus saying i truly bielive companys like this one forget how to target the costumer who at times can become the middle man and forced to not only bielive that buy paying a high warranty cost for the product you buy and intrusting that the coordination of paper work along with the time thats needed to deal with any problems that might ocure are going to be smoothly resolved in a resonable time is a fariy tale that needs to be shelfed right next to avatar. No matter how hard you click your heels or squinch your eyes companys simular to this one have forgot how to resolve anything without wasting your time. In the long run of most thing we buy or sign to, we all end up paying for more than we asked for. I have purchased a 500 dollar warranty for a product that is worth 1400.00 dollars, thats more than 30 percent the products worth.
I have had countless conversations with the company i bought the product from and as well with Precision tv.
More simply put "tv still broke". My best advise to the person that's dealing with the same situation, make sure you report the problem to the company you bought it from as soon as possible, keep all reciepts, cominicate as best as you can to the company you bought the product from because,(youl like this) precision tv has to do as there told and the people that tell them what to do is where you bought the product from. The only way to really get what you want from companys like precision tv is to involve yourself more than you want towrard the issue and most important create or develope a relation ship with the company you bought the tv from. What all this break down to was my first mistake, homework before buying i didnt do it now im paying for it, litraly. But dont forget precision tv's more worried about the companys they work for then you the buyer. Next time i buy a tv i am going to realy think about the amount i want to pay for the warranty.
Plus i am taking my business far way from anyone who does business with precision tv. I guess we all have to learn from our lessons, I just wish mine didnt cost over 2000 dollars.
Good repair and service – Just a quick note about my experience.
1. Call Center was fine. They kept me updated which was to my surprise. I knew what was happening throughout the process.
2. Technician came to my house in uniform and was very polite. To my amazement he replaced my television panel and it worked again like magic once he was done.
3. They even followed up with a Survey to make sure my experience was to my satisfaction (which it was).
4. What more could I ask for?
Repair was fine, but my tech was better – My repair tech man was cute, so what can i say. :)
Repair was covered by Sony, but I wish I was better informed by Precision. But, once the Tech came, he explained the process to me, better than the precision CSR did.
I hope my TV breaks again ;)
Good service – I have a projection TV and the TV went black one day. The technician from Precision Television had the part with him when he came out. It was the lamp. He was puntual and couteous and fixed my TV on the first trip. I did have to pay for the lamp and the labor but the prices were not extreme.
I would use Precision Television again.
What a waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!! – Worst company to deal with. I called right before thanksgiving because my tv bulb went out for the second time in 4 years. I have an extended warranty that covers it for 5 years so I was thinking that my warranty was a good investment. Precision Tv didn't answer my call so I left a message hoping they call me back. They didn't for several days, so I ended up calling them back after the holidays. Once I was able to get someone on the phone, I'd explained that my tv bulb went out. The lady on the phone says she would take down my info and get back with me to set the appt. A week goes by a nothing happens. I called back only to find out that they had to get permission from my warranty company because the replacement exceeded some amount and needed approval. So I waited and waited. Close to 2 weeks later, they call me back thinking they call me for an appt only but that wasn't the case. They stated they got the approval but needed to order the parts. Another week later, they call back to set the appt up. However it wasn't going to be for another 2-3 weeks. I had no choice but wait. At this point I was already piss. But nothing that I can do since I was at their mercy. Finally the day arrive, they tech shows up a the house. And I'm thinking hooray....my tv is finally going to get fix. Nope!!! The tech guy says that my tv bulb is not cover. Only the first bulb blowout was cover and not the second. But this was not where I angry. The tech guys says he has the parts and can install it for me but he would have to charge me for the labor of $185 for a 5min operation. Something that I can do myself. However when I ask if I can just purchase the parts from him and take care of it today, he refuse and said he couldn't do that. Stated he couldn't sell me the parts without the labor. So at this time, I was trying to keep my anger from exploding. He did offer to recommend a website that I can purchse from which means that I would have to wait for the parts to arrive. So you can see how I am pretty mad at this point. Not only did this company waste my time. They also tried to screw me during the tv repair appt by not selling me the parts when he had it on him. The company could have told me from the begining that my bulb was not cover and I could have just order the parts and repaired it my self from the begining instead of giving me this run around so that they can have a repair tech show up at my house 1 month later to try to screw me with the repair bill knowing how desperate I was to get my tv fix. 2 lessons I learned from this experience.....I will never buy warranties for a tv again...............second.....................never use Precision Tv !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
terrible service – they made an appt with me to come fix my tv and never showed up or called... It took them 3 weeks to fix my tv and when you call to check on the status of a repair all they do is give you the run around. Terrible service. overall bad experience.
BAD SERVICE – PRECISION CAME TO MY HOME TO FIX MY AKIA. I WAS TOLD I NEEDED 2 PARTS. IT TOOK 2 WEEKS TO GET THE PART AND ANOTHER 3 DAYS FOR TECH TO COME. TECH INSTALLED THE NEW PARTS ONLY TO DISCOVER THE BLUE PICTURS TUBE WAS BAD AS WELL. SOMETHING THAT WAS MISSED ON FIRST VISIT. I WAS TOLD BY TECH THAT HE HAD TO REMOVE THE 2 PARTS THAT ACTUALLY MADE THE TV WORK AND ORDER THE BLUE PICTURE TUBE.WAS TOLD IT WAS SAMS CLUB POLICY. I WAITED ANOTHER 3 WEEKS FOR BLUE PICTURE TUBE AND LISTEN TO A DIFFERENT LIE EVERY TIME I CALLED TO CHECK ETA....FINALLY TECH SHOWS UP INSTALLS THE 2 NEW PARTS THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY REMOVED. GREAT TV WORKS. NOW HE WILLINSTALL BLUE PICTURE TUBE AND I CAN WATCH TV FINALLY. TECH OPENS THE BLUE PICTURE TUBE BOX ONLY TO FIND THAT THE PICTURE TUBE IS GREEN. CALLED PRECISION BECAUSE NOW I KNOW HE WILL HAVE TO REMOVE OTHER PARTS, WAS TOLD SAMS CLUB POLICY BY A SUPERVISIOR, PHONE SAMS CLUB WHILE SPEAKING TO PRECISION CUST RELATIONS REP. WILL CALL HER ELLEN, WHO THEN CHANGED HER STORY AGAIN AND DECIDED TO TELL ME THE TRUTH THAT IT WAS PRECISION POLICY..I DIRECTLY ASKED HER WHO POLICY WAS IT AT THE BEGINNING OF CALL..NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM SURE IT WILL BE ANOTHER 3 WEEKS..AND 2 MORE HOURS OF MY TIME. AND YES TECH REMOVED THE NEW PARTS THAT MAKES THE TV WORK.........DONT BELIVE A WORD THEY SAY
