Food maybe be good but some will never know – We were going to buy a gift certificate from Del Frisco's but they do not sell them. They also do not have a web site. So we called the resturant and they told us that the only way that you could pay for a dinner was to be at the resturant and pay in person or have your guess call you when they have eaten and have received the check. Then you could supply a credit card number and pay for their dinner. I think that this is very awkward and they need to come up with a better method to treat a guest to dinner. The food maybe good but some poeple will never know.
Too many better places – I was very enthusiastic to dine at Del Frisco's, my first time. I never plan to return. Starters, my baked potato's presentation was in a Styrofoam box, on a neighboring table. Then there is the service and presentation. To start six employees arrived with our meal, and proceeded to holler the entree and sides for each party member to claim his/her respectful meal. Speaking of servers...I never saw ours, but to take our order and drop the check afterwards. I never received one of my sides because the server took the liberty to add it to a family sized bowl and drop it at the other end of the table. When I finally had the servers attention to inform her I never received the side, she had already delivered the check. The best person in the restaurant was the young man assisting our pathetic excuse of a server.
I have found the best – After being told by many that Del Frisco's was the best steak in town, I desided to see what all the hype was about. When I called to make my reservation, I ask for a server by the name of Vince, which was also recomended. My date and I arived at 7:30 on Sat. and was seated promtly. Our drink order was taken and then Vince arived. We asked for his recomendations, and he was helpful explaining the Ala carte menu. We went for the Large filet and the Filet and king crab legs. We also ordered the green funk also recomended, and a couple of potatos. Everything was what it was hyped up to be from the food to the service. We agree with all that recomended Del Frisco's. Great food and be sure to ask for Vince.
Exquisit 39th wedding anniversary – This was a very special night. It was our first visit to dle frisco's and we were not disappointed. We both said it was the best dinner we had ever had. That's a high compliment as we're both near 60. The steaks were very tasty and juicy, seasonings perfection. The lobster and king crab extremely sweet and wonderful, herbed butter excellent. Sauteed mushrooms absolutely delicious. Potatoes baked to perfection. Drinks refilled before we could take two or three drinks. Ashtrays emptied after finishing one cigarette. Even the wine was fantastic. Our waiter, Vince, could not have been more attentive and so very manneristic. We will return as soon as we can and needless to say, will be our anniversary dining for all the years to come. We cannot give this dining establishment enough praise! Tom and Iris Akins - Thanks, Del Frisco's and Vince!
CUT STEAK WITH BUTTER KNIFE – THIS FAMILY-OWNED RESTURANT IS A STAPLE OF THE ST. MATHEWS COMMUNITY. THE STEAK IS SECOND TO NONE IN THE CITY. THE STEAK WAS SECOND TO NONE. THE STEAK IS SERVED ON A SIZZLING HOT PLATE (450 DEGREES) WITH CLARIFIED BUTTER. WHETHER YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A ROMANTIC DINNER, BUSINESS OUTING, OR JUST AN APPETIZER AND A COCKTAIL THIS IS THE PLACE. THE GREEN PHUNQUE, A HOUSE CONCOCTION, IS A CREAMED SPINACH CASEROLE WITH BACON, CHEES, ONIONS, MUSHROOMS, SCRAMBLED EGGS, AND A COUPLE OTHER "SECRET INGREDIENTS". BELIEVE IT WHEN I SAY... THE PHUNQUE IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

new york, ohio, Del Frisco's is a true wonder-A
louisville Landmark. A 5 Star all the way.
This classic steak house hits the mark with stellar service and great steaks. – The Scene
This Louisville mainstay is far from your average strip-mall restaurant with its large dimly lit dining room, dark-hued decor and traditionally dressed servers bustling about. Although not as savvy as some newer steak houses in town, Del Frisco's can have long on weekend nights. A cocktail in the cozy bar will make the wait more than tolerable.
The undisputed star at Del Frisco's is prime Angus beef. Perfectly cooked and marbled rib eye steaks and filet mignon are butter-knife tender. For surf and turf, lightly fried jumbo shrimp complement a tender petit filet. Dishes like broiled salmon or moist chicken with a creamy Dijon sauce dot the menu. Sides come a la carte--opt for the fluffy baked potato over the more-sauce-than-substance broccoli or potato au gratin. There's a fine array of desserts to choose from, but classic Derby pie is always a winner.
THE FILET & CRAB ARE THE BEST – I WENT TO DEL FRISCO'S THE OTHER NIGHT AT A FRIENDS SUGGESTION. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE. I HAD THE FILET AND KING CRAB. THE STEAK WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD, AND THE CRAB LEGS WERE HUGE AND CAME ALREADY SPLIT. FANTASTIC. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT.
Simply put Outstanding – After reading the reveiws written here, my wife and I desided to check out Del Frisco's ourselves. We made reservations for Friday, Feb. 7. Upon arriving we were seated right away, given menus, and our drink orders taken. Our server brought us warm bread and ask us if we were ready to order, we were. My wife ordered the filet mignon and I the strip. We ordered the potato Au gratin and sauteed mushrooms to share, she the spinich salad and I the lobster bisque.Everything was brought to order. We were both impressed, not only with the food and service but the resturant is stunning.
steaks du jour – great atmosphere, great service, great food, and a great evening out with friends at Del Frisco's.
