New Executive Chef takes Greenhouse Restaurant to a new level. – Great find!! There were four of us--two couples--for dinner. Service was prompt and pleasant. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the menu. They have a new executive chef, Seth Lassak, and he's doing great things with the menu. He prepared a special mushroom starter dish for us. A trio of different mushrooms each prepared in a different way. The lobster mushroom was done in a pomegranate reduction; a second type of mushroom that I'd don't remember was fantastic, but the best (IMHO) were the burgundy mushrooms in a Merlot reduction--to die for!! This isn't normally on the menu, so if you're interested in the taste treat, call ahead and request it. Your efforts will be rewarded. The fragiole soup was popular at our table. Perfectly seasoned, hearty soup. For the main course, two in our party had the rib-eye, one had the sirloin and I had the seared ahi tuna on a bed of arugula. Everyone loved their food choices. My tuna was perfectly seared. The presentation of all the dishes was beautiful. Dessert was a trio of homemade sorbets--coconut, raspberry and mango. Light and tart--perfect ending to a an exquisite meal.

RUDE and SNOBBY! Since this place used to be a bar, I asked some friends to meet me there for drinks for my birthday. When we arrive, we realize it had become only a restaurant; but before we could say anything, the hostess blatantly and rudely asks us to leave because they are no longer a lounge for just drinks. I've never received such an uncouth and stuck-up greeting in my life, nor have I ever been turned away from a restaurant! It's not like we're a whole bunch of college students wanting to party...we are well-respected, corporate professionals in our late 20s and early 30s. We were so appalled that we asked to speak to the manager; but much to our dismay, he was an older gentleman that treated us just as poorly. What a lovely start to my 30th birthday!

Horrible Service, Decent Food, Insulting Staff – We sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone decided to come check on us. The server apologized and said she had "just been told" we were one of her tables. We placed drink orders and ordered calamari and naan as appetizers. Another 15 minutes passed before we received our drinks. Finally the calamari and naan arrived at the table. The calamari was tasty, with a slight zing to the sauce, but was unfortunately cold. The naan was warm and quite good. I also ordered a spinach salad. It was fresh with appropriate amounts of dressing and bleu cheese crumbles. It was a winner in my book.

We were 40 minutes into our evening before the server took our order. Meanwhile the soda glass and coffee cup were empty. No refill was offered. Our entrees were brought to the table. Presentation was lively without being over the top. All were proportioned as would be expected in this type of restaurant. These are not the heaping plates of food found at Claim Jumper, nor were they miniscule as is often the case at "fine dining" establishments.

At the end of the main course we all ordered individual desserts. By this time we had already spent $170 and were discussing ordering a bottle of wine to top off the evening. Our server came to our table (which was rare considering she checked on us a total of one time after our entrees were brought out) and informed us that we would have to leave because another guest had requested our specific table. We had appetizers, main course and dessert and had been at the table for a total of 90-minutes...and this includes the 20 minutes we had to wait because nobody served us!

Needless to say, I wasn't going to give this restaurant another penny and we decided to finish our evening elsewhere. Before leaving we spotted the Executive Chef and mentioned to him how our night had transpired. He couldn't have cared less. He was more interested in leering at the women wakling to the bar than he was at discussing our concerns.
