NEVER BUY FROM SUNSHINE FURNITURE
You lie in your commercials. For the past few weeks you have been airing commercials on every channel saying there will be NO SALES TAX on any furniture you buy. You charged me sales tax last night. Do you know it is illegal to lie to your customers. I am turning you into to the BBB and also the IRS and I hope you get put out of business because I'm going to do my best to see that that happens. I know a lot of people that you probably wish I didn't know. When you treat your customers like this, you might want to find out just who your customer works for.
Never EVER, EVER, purchase anything from Sunshine Furniture....
I have purchased several things. My chair to my dinette set broke and I bought the extended warranty. I went to the store to see about replacement, they advised that "sure if you bought the warranty we can replace it" They referred me to Teronica and she advised me she ordered it. It's been 2 months almost and no chair. I have called, went to the store and still no chair. They had another chair sitting in the store and I ask if they could just replace mine with that one. They said NO! I continue to call and I was still being told it would arrive in a few days. I called today very frustrated and spoke to the manager Steve, who told me that my chair was out of warranty and I should be lucky that they were even going to replace it! And if I keep "threatening them I would not get anything" I needed to just wait until Teronica comes back in tomorrow and talk to her cause he could not help me (he is the store manager). I ask him did I need to call the news or someone, just to get a chair fixed? Never EVER going there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I had read some of these reviews before purchasing with Sunshine Furn. Our experience has been UNBELIEVABLE!!
We purchased a 3 pc media console set and when we went to pick it up, 2 of the 3 were damaged. We didn't pick up any of it for fear that would mess up their records... I wanted all or nothing.
To make a long (VERY Very LONG) story short, we have made countless calls to Customer Serv. Teronica, salesman Eddie and manager STeve to try to get our furniture (in good shape...not damaged) and only Eddie has returned any phone calls. We leave messages on answering machines or with people who assure us they'll call back...they don't
After much diress and frustration, I now have my last piece of furniture, but it has been glued back together and of course drawers don't glide easily. Right now, we're trying to get them to abide by the promise from Teronica to "send someone out" to repair it. This has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had with any company anywhere!!!!!
I like their furniture, but North Carolina Furn. Mart has the same things and has MUCH better service. Go there!!
Do not do business with this company. They do not follow through with their customers.
We bought two recliners from them in March of 2012. Immediate after delivery we saw they were defective and we have tried numerous times to have them make them right. The only thing we could get from them was a too bad attitude.
The two recliners were over a thousand dollars and we are now forced to replace them with two others. That's a lot of money for two pieces of junk.
We will not ever do business with the company again. They have a no refund policy too even if it is due you. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My mom spent a lot of money with this company and when their delivery men came, they ran their truck into her mailbox and broke it. They refused to pay for and said that because nobody else was there as a witness, my mother can't prove anything. VERY UNETHICAL and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of my sweet mom. She was just trying to get new furniture in her house so she could host her kids for the first time for the holidays. Instead she ended up paying $250 for a new mailbox!
I wish I would have read the other reviews on here before buying from Sunshine. I would say this experience with them has been the worse buying experience I have ever had. I would never recommend them, EVER! The sales people are not helpful and have no idea what customer service is. They don't apologize when orders are delayed or even call you to let you know there is a delay. They continually make excuses and never own up to the fact that they just suck at what they do. One of the many times I called to find out what was going on with my furniture I was on hold for 30 minutes to find out the sales guy wasn't even there. They did refund my delivery and set up fee but at the same time commented that they shouldn't have to. I could care less about the $125, I want my furniture. At this point we are a week over the 6-8 weeks they quoted and they said it will not be delivered to them for another week and a half. DO NOT SHOP AT SUNSHINE!!!!!!
2 Hour window delivery? I took off work like a lot of people have to do in order to have something delivered. They said between 11:30 and 1:30….ok….2:00 rolls around….no courtesy call saying they’re running late, no call at all…so I call Rico….guessing it’s his private cell phone because it wasn’t answered in a professional way. He had no idea what was up with the delivery and had to call his guys. 20 minutes later he calls back saying they got lost at an earlier delivery. Ok…no apology….just excuses…and I’m wondering how them getting lost and being late should cost me more money by having to take off more time from work. So Rico says they’ll be here in 30 minutes. Great I say…as I’m losing money by not working. It's now 3:00 and no delivery. I’d call again but at this point the day is a bust and have lost ½ a day of wages. Wow….that $80 delivery cost me a lot more than $80…I spoke with the owner of the delivery company and he offered to give me my money back. I told him I would be happy with ½ of the money back and he said great…..4 months later I’ve seen no money and will NEVER deal with Sunshine as long as they use this delivery service. And because Sunshine couldn’t/wouldn’t help resolve the issue they get the rating.
Terrible. Less than poor. My sales man left me while completing the sale to go get commission on someone else. I talked to the manager kevin and stated he would take care of it......hmmmm did he.... Special order was to be in by 2 weeks. not there...... Wanted to make me wait on the other 4 peices i ordered for the two other pieces that had not made it in for an undeterminined amount of time. Took me over an hour to remedy situation. we all know an hour is valuable time. I said i will just come in get a refund and buy at another store. I was told no they did not do refunds......So i have no furniture for the 2600 i spent 2 weeks ago. poor porr customer service. not a happy consumer at all.
After searching all stores in Tulsa for 2 weeks trying to find two chairs, the wife and I finally decided on two chairs at Sunshine Furniture on Memorial. The salesman was ok, not pushy and accomdating enough. We were the the chairs we wanted, powered recliners, could be ordered and would take 6-8 weeks. We paid for the chairs and they placed the order. So far so good right? Nothing special, but passable in todays climate were few businesses do anything to WOW a customer with service.
8 weeks later, after NOT HEARING from them, the Wife called to find out when we could expect delivery. She was told that that someone SUPPOSEDLY called and left a VM around April 1st (but couldn't tell the Wife where they had left the message) that the parts needed for the chairs were not available and the chair was not ordered. This was approximately 1 week AFTER we had placed the original order. NO ONE from the store ever tried the 3 different numbers (all with VM) we have to explain what happened. We wasted 7 Weeks and they had our $1500 and didn;t seem to care they couldn't/wouldn't live up to their end of the deal.
We are back looking for chairs and WAITING for our money back from them.
