Joni Ball, best hair stylist I have ever had!!. I went into Friends Salon and saw Joni Ball. She was wonderful, super friendly, and knows what she's doing. She did a cut and color for me and gave me exactly what I wanted. She is really knowledgeable about hair products and really good a coloring hair. The atmosphere in the salon is nice too. I highly recommend going to see Joni!

Rene Vargas - Thank you!. I had to try Rene when people at work came in looking great - better than usual, but I wasn't sure why - turns out they went to Rene - and the way he cut their hair, it was effortless for them. It fell just right - it was impressive. My hair is different than theirs, but I love the ease, and how nice it is as it grows.. In the past with other stylists, I would be going nuts with a cut within 4 weeks - not so with Rene. He's fun, he makes me laugh - and I love the cut.
Hair Dresser That Listens to My Hair Needs. I have followed Rene Vargas to every salon he has been at. I have been going to Rene for 15 years. Rene has been flexible to my scheduling needs. Rene give you a big hug when you walk in and when you leave. Rene's versatile styles fit all ages, young and young at heart. I would recommend you have a hair cut experience with Rene.
I Keep Going Back to Rene Vargas. I started going to Rene about 13 years ago. At that time he was located about 3 blocks from my place of work. Since that time Rene has changed locations several time. I have tried other places to get my hair cut that are closer to home, cheaper, more expensive, etc. But, I keep going back to Rene. Nobody else compares. Rene has seen me through long hair, short hair, thick hair, self colored hair, and now really thin gray hair. I now give Rene freedom to cut my hair as he sees best. I will now follow Rene anywhere in the greater Portland/Vancouver area.

4/14/2010 Have you ever had perfect brows? Not me. Ive been burned, crooked and lopsided. I am pleased to announce I now have perfect brows. Genelle is Friends premier Brow Artist. She is a prefectionist and takes care of me. I now have 3 friends that see her and are as happy as i am. Ive learned you cannot see just a waxer or estethician for brows but need to see a "Brow Artist", cuz there is extensive training in the fashion industry. We all are now excited to see her for all of her other services!
Errin Welsh. Ive been going to Errin for years now and I absolutely love her! So much so that I followed her from Johnson Creek to Happy Valley. She always knows exactly what I want and I feel amazing every time I leave. Great job Errin!
Rene Vargas - Friends Salon. I started going to Rene over 4 years ago and LOVE him! It is very hard for me to change hairdressers, manicurists, doctors, dentists, etc....I go to the same ones forever. But, when I switched hairdressers it was the best thing I ever did. Not only is the salon upscale and convenient, I'm getting the best haircut and color I've ever received. I have very fine hair and for the first time, I can just blow my hair dry, put in some product and go. And, my color is so natural that it looks like it could actually be my real color. Great job, Rene!
Hard to Find Product. I went into this salon just to find bosley products. The front desk worker was extremely helpful and informatiive about the product and how I should be using it. I'm in Gresham and don't usually make it out to Happy Valley but it was well worth my time. Can;t speak into haircut but it was very nice salon and very nice people.
Roshelle Wimmers the Best!.
I love Roshelle Wimmer's work in color, cut and style! I have known her over 6 years and she has done great work on my hair before I moved out of OR and now that I am back in OR--and even did my hair for my whole wedding party as well!
I am also so proud of her for becoming a trainer!! Nice work Roshelle!
