Best coffee shop in town – I LOVE Sohbet. The service is always very friendly and the coffee is consistently DELICIOUS. The atmosphere is creative and inspiring. Food is great. The pottery they sell is unique and makes great gifts. I love Sohbet!

Best Coffee in North Portland!!! – I've been to almost all the coffee joints in North Portland, trust me almost all of them, and I think this has THE best COFFEE in the area. Haven't tried the food yet, but the menu looks enticing! Staff is friendly!

The best, freshest ingredients anywhere... – I love Sohbet. I've been going there on Sunday afternoons for a while for coffee and sandwiches. They carry the best selection of the freshest coffee in town. I'm sure it's the same for their teas. They also carry fresh ingredients for their very gourmet, made-to-order sandwiches. I've always LOVED the caprese sandwich there and drive across town just to get it, but the last time I was in it was served on a different kind of bread with pesto instead of fresh basil and different mozzarella (used to be the little mozz-ball halves with halved cherry tomatoes; but now are the bigger mozz-ball slices with larger tomato slices). I really liked them better the other way so hopefully they'll bring it back. Either way, I'll still go in for the coffee and maybe try something new to eat... but I won't be driving across town for the caprese unless they revert to the old style of making it. Oh and PS- don't go to Sohbet if you're in a hurry. It's often packed with only one person working.

Comfy coffee shop – Great coffee, inventive teas (mostly loose-leaf), cute handmade-pottery-style mugs. What I like best are the tasty and reasonably-sized muffins, scones, and other baked goods. They're perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack, without being as big as my head. They also have a family-friendly zone around the corner from the main room - not cut off, but out of the way so wee ones aren't running into folks with full mugs of hot coffee as they step away from the register
