Nice Suprise – This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for my wife and me. We had never tried Spanish food before and this restaurant has definitely introduced us to something new. The food comes out served in little dishes, perfect for me because as much as I enjoy food, I don't always like the huge portions you usually get at restaurants these days. They have a large variety of these "tapas" as well as a great selection of Spanish red wines. We ended up drinking their White Sangria all night.
Our waitress Michelle was very helpful in explaining and guiding our dining experience. We were there on a relatively calm Tues night, but she informed us it can get BUSY on the weekends. The decor of the restaurant is amazing with lots of attention to detail. The live guitarist and singer were an amazing act and definatley set the mood for the restaurant. We definitely recommend heading to Sevilla's on the weeknights if you are looking for a nice, calm, relaxing night with a special friend or loved one.
Night of Dancing – The girls and i went out to Sevilla for the first time. We had a great night in the club, even though it was crowded. It just meant we had to do more dancing! Add in a little sangria and we had so much fun. Plans to go back again soon.
just pure fun with great atmosphere and food – We arrived at Sevilla and it looked like we just arrived in Spain, the service is cordial and knowledgeable, we did not feel rushed at all during our meal but I have to say that it was a bit noisy.
The food was full of flavors and with a great deal of authenticity, specially the paella valenciana and the lamb skewers are to die for.
If you don't have to get back home early I highly recommend you check out the live Salsa, it is a class act.
Sevilla is definitively a place I love and harly recommend, try for yourself!!!!
Thank you Sevilla! – This is the place i go when in Long Beach, for over 2 years i have enjoyed the Tapas bar with all it has to offer, from great food (tapas), live music, and most important great crowd and staff! From lunch to brunch to dinner it does not comes much better on pine. By the way, the Greek restaurant moved accross the street from Sevilla, Pine is the destination in Long Beach
Very bad service – Defenetly use cash for all transactions @ Cafe Sevilla my boyfriend decided to pay for the whole night out he decided to pay for the entrance with his credit card first of all according to their promoters and their website the entrance to the club is $20 on saturdays well they charged us $25 a head My boyfriend proceeded to pay with his visa card for the entrance well first they handed him a reciept with the wrong amount they where over charging him good thing he looked at the reciept before walking away so the cashier finally fixes the mistake and handed him a VIP pass so my boyfriend said can I use this pass today the cashier said no only on a friday so the VIP pass was no compensation the next day my boyfriend checked his visa account he noticed that instead of charging him$75 they charged $90 on his card he was upset and called the bank perhaps it was some sort of mistake no mistake Sevilla charges $5 for each entrance you pay with a credit card so they charged him $15 just because he paid with his credit card what is more upsetting is that they dont even mention if yo use any type of credit card or debit card to pay a $5 charge will be applied nore did the cashier have the curtesy of informing the customers.People pay alot of money to go into this establishmnet ad have a good time why is it then that they make you throw your chewing gum out as you are entering the club it is emberrassing I felt like I was back in kinder. They dont allow you to sit anywhere unless you purchase a cheap bottle of liquor that will run you $355 with taxes included which by the way its not even worth it the musicis bad there is no variety the club is suppose to close at 2am but the security guards begin toyell at the people to start heading out of the club at 1:30am and the lights are turned on it was really upseting if you are paying to dance till 2am.Money was not an issue my guests and I had plenty of money to spend.
Tapas Bar Great, Sevilla Not So Great – Club Sevilla reminds me of a High School dance. It's so crowded the crowd seems a bit too young. Drinks were very over priced as well cover charge which is $15. Good luck finding a place to sit because you wont find any, as if finding a place to even stand is even a challenge while either security tells you not to stand there...fire hazard, or you're standing withing the dancefloor. Music was terrible no variety all they play is Hip Hop and Techno I wanted to hear different beats like latin or rock. Fights abrupt regularly as well because again crowd is young and it's crowded.
On the other hand Tapas Bar is excellent, they play live music, entrance there is free and to me drinks seem stronger. The crowd is older, diverse, mature and the music is great playing Bandolero Music then later it plays spanish and rock too. I recommend Tapas Bar, Sevilla...needs some serious reinvention.
Don't waste your money on this place!! – I went there for my birthday to have dinner, and the whole experience was horrible!!! The food is nowhere near being real Spanish food!! The meat paella was extremely salty, and the rice was undercooked!
I ordered a salmon parrillada and the manager of the restaurant who brought our food didn't even know the difference between a parrillada and a paella! My mom is Spaniard so to her it was the worst food she had ever had! On top of the bad food, the service is worse! They took forever with drinks and didn't even bring out the right dessert I ordered, but they made sure to charge me double for it!!
Guys, you're better off having some buffalo wings at H00ters next door. At least you'll have a nice view in case your food isn't that great! =>
Awesome Place! – I was shocked to see there were so many terrible reviews for Cafe Sevilla at the Long Beach location! To me, it seems as if someone is trying to skew the reviews to be on the negative side on purpose. I think these negative reviews are completely inaccurate and uncalled for. I have been a patron at Cafe Sevilla in Riverside as well as Downtown in the Gaslamp for several years now and have always had excellent service and outstanding food. I had the opportunity to check out the Long Beach location last week and wasn't surprised to have the same excellent service and outstanding food there as well. I highly recommend Cafe Sevilla to EVERYONE. It's an all around awesome place to go.
This place nailed all the marks! AMAZING! and i will come back for our next girls night out :) – I recently visited Sevilla with a girlfriend. We had a great time! What a little culinary gem this is in Long Beach. I have been living in Long Beach for about a year now and usually I avoid Pine ave.(It seems kindof trashy at times.) Well I was pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and livelihood of the place. We showed early so we had some drinks and tapas while we waited for the dinner show doors to open. We were served by Nilton, who was very friendy and personable. The chicken ajillo and sangarita are TO DIE FOR!
Next we attended the Flamenco dinner show. Though it is on the pricey side, it is well worth it. I was pleased by the extensive wine list. The dancers were absolutely captivating and our server Jaimey was very sweet and timely. Food was great and we were very full.
We were stuffed and ready to go home. Then the bartender Caroline i think invited us to stay for the nightclub free of charge. I have to admit, I'm not a fan of clubbing, but we were having such a great time we decided to check it out.
We danced the night away like teens! The music was energetic and i felt like I was In Las Vegas! Caroline remembered us and promptly served us our drinks and water bottles all night although she was VERY busy and the bar was super crowded. It is rare to get that kind of service in a busy nightclub.
I am genuinely surprised to see any negative reviews for this place. Judging by the Grammar and choice in drinks (adios) the person underneath me must be an amateur. This is NOT Tijuana kind of place for college party crowds looking to get trashed. This is a high end place for those who aren't afraid to spend money and have a great time.
AVOID SEVILLA! KEEP AWAY!!!! – Stay away from this boot-leg place! (Reading the stupid reviews on this site...makes me think people are paid to write positive reviews) Where should I start?
1) I paid about $10 bucks for an AMF (Adios Mother Fu----). I've had my share of AMF's in the past and I feel them kicking in when finishing my drink. The drinks at Sevilla are watered-down and they are mostly full of ICE.
2) These bouncers walk around trying to punk people! Can you believe that?
3) The music was HORRIBLE!!!!!! Ahhhh!!! It might have been Sevilla DJ AMATEUR night.. The pre-teen DJ at the local Quinceanera can do a better job.
4) The place is small/over-crowded/ draws a barely legal crowd /and drowns in their fog effect. Oh lets also not forget to mention the wiggas on the stage (who were probably paid to be in that VIP sitting area). I paid 15 bucks to go in..... I can't imagine anyone paying for their boot-leg vip sitting area. I would of rather given my 15 bucks to the bum in santa monica holding the sign (Please Donate Some Money So I Can Get High).
5) Sevilla also has their "hard working" crew at work. You see the janitors cleaning up the dance floor while people dancing.
I should of done more research before visiting this place. Reading the other reviews and other sites just comes to demonstrates this place is shady and all gone wrong in many aspects.
