Great Mexican Food and Reasonable prices. – The food is good Mexican food and reasonable. After 50 years of eating at Mexican Restaurants, we found this to
be one of the best. They also feature great Duo Guitar players on Wednesday and Friday evening.
Friendly service – the manager and staff and super nice and takes care of customers well. I recommend the mechilidas, it's beer of your choice
with a type of hot sause and lemon and spices. they make on of the best. better than mambos.
Bad Salsa & tamales, very quick service, good on weekends only – i'm sorry to disagree with the other reviews, but last night (St.Patrick's Day) was absolutely the worst. Service&Food Quality: the salsa was ketchup-like;cold tomato sauce with no spices, cilantro or onion. I politely commented to the mgr. in which we were brought salsa with huge, badly chopped onion & cilantro. My Deluxe Dinner came w/ unripened tomatoes for the taco; Spanish rice was just corn & rice(it's usually cooked w/ tomatoes), and the driest tamale I have ever had. And finally as we were trying to pay at the front, the Mgr. was to busy "flirting" with two lovely ladies at the first table right next to the register. It's less than 6 ft. to that table & I could hear every word. This place is very popular on weekends and we live across the street; but I believe they are under new Mgmt.
Fast Service, Good Salsa, Awesome Food, and Delicious Margaritas! – I am lucky enough to live about 2 blocks from this place. Its a hidden treasure for anyone who loves Tex Mex. The salsa is great and so is their ground beef. I like to experiment with different things on the menu, and have yet to come across something I disliked. They have really good lunch specials. It is a small family establishment like the other reviewer did say. However, the reasonable prices and delicious food make it a step above the rest. P.S. The margaritas are good and strong.
Best Beef Fajitas – I go here almost every Friday night for one thing, the beef fajitas. They are by far the best I have had in Houston. Outside of that, the place is marginal. The atmosphere is well suited for a small shopping center type family Mexican restaurant, the margaritas are average, and the price is decent for what you get. But, if you want some really good beef fajitas, go for it. There is also a party room you can rent out and a small bar.
