Getting Tan in Hutto – Five month ago I broke my angle, and have been in the house the hole time, therefore I had become the color of white paper. I thought that I would get some color before returning to working outside in the sun. I looked up tanning in Hutto, and it gave me Hottie Tan, but after reading the review, I was hesitant about going in, but it was so close to my house, I figured how bad could it be.
I walk in and met a very tanned attractive lady named Sam. Sam was very friendly and seemed to know all about tanning. She said that normally there is a clock in the room set for three minutes to get undressed and prepared to tan. I informed her that it would take me longer than that. Sam said just to call out when I was ready for the clock to start. The entire time I was in the bed tanning, I could hear people coming into Hottie Tan, and all seemed to be laughing and talking, before going in to a room to tan.
After I was finished tanning I talk to another attractive young girl named Taylor, about different tanning lotions, she too seemed to be very knowledgeable about the products, and the ones that would smell good on a man.
All in all I found Hottie Tan to be a clean, and a very friendly place. With some very good looking staff. I will be returning.
Very welcoming experience – I've gone to Hottie Tan on and off for years and have never had one complaint. The staff is very nice and helpful, I always get my lotion discounted as well. I have been to places that had the Kiss beds (15 minute beds) that are newer, but actually I don't get tan as fast as I do in Hottie Tans 20 minute beds. They're beds are great, and bulbs are always changed.
The only thing I would say was a slight downer is I like capsule (stand up) beds and they do not have those. They really even your tan out and get your under arms and sides very well, but it is no biggie.
I do really like the friendly staff, even when I see them in other places around town they say hi and are nice. They also let my daughter hang out while I tan, as long as she is quiet, they do not mind. Very family friendly and highly reccomended!
amyspruce sounds like a scorned X employee – I went to craigslist and found this salon. I then went online and read "amy spruce" comment. "I thought I'm not going there". But my friend and I did end up going to ck it out and that place is VERY clean. The staff is well educated and polite. Yep the beds are older but the bulbs dif. are not. Not only did I have my base tan in less than a week but so did my friend. They make conversation with you everytime you go in there. And most of them remember a lot of the customers names unlike the big chains. The prices are great and they always offer a discount for the lotion. I now do month to month.
I agreee with GO HIPPO – Its a shame this business has to go online and LIE about people stealing and give them selves FIVE STARS!
their other review sites are them commenting!
I went and tanned there recently, the place is FILTHY. they have old beds that say Way Too Tan, That company went out of business 8 Years AGO!!! the bulbs look like they never been changed, i got no tan at all. i guess you get what you pay for with their 11.99 deal...BEWARE!
i read they are trying to sell this piece of S*** on craigslist!
they ADVERTISE on CRAIGSLIST! that should sum up about their clientel!
You have some nerve you the thief!! – The girl named Amy who claims she paid for a product 2 months earlier and never rec'd it was caught on tape at my salon stealing a bottle of lotion. How dare you write a review when you had the gull to steal a bottle of $65.00 lotion while my 16 yr old daughter was working. The tape has been turned over to the pollice. Writing reviews need to be truthful. So hopefully anyone who reads these reviews now understands that most of them are coming from stupid people.
Stuck Up Teen-Age Counter Staff! – I have never written a bad review in my life, I guess there is a first time for everything.
I paid for a 6 month (in advance) membership in 2008. I stopped tanning after two months and did not ask for a refund. I was totally disgusted with the teenage, horrible, stuck-up attitude.
I decided to try again this summer and pre-pay for 2 months. New stuck up teens working! I walked into the salon today, no "Hello" or greeting. Just, “What is your name?”. When I got to my assigned room the counter was already running! I am a little older these days and don't move as fast as I used to, so I started my tan 3 minutes late. Is common courtesy a problem?
On a positive note: there is one middle age lady with red hair, who is very sweet. She is the only one I like.
This salon has bottom of the rung beds (which) the acrylic is cracking on many of them. The fans to cool the beds are nasty and full of dust. There is dust building on the electrical harnesses as well.
For what amounted to $35 dollars a month, I'd rather drive into Austin to Darque Tan. Much more professional staff; newer and more technologically advanced European beds. Not much more expensive! I will go back to my membership with Darque.
Where All The Hotties Go – I love tanning at Hottie Tan. I love the customer service and the atmosphere there. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help. The salon is clean and it really shows that they care about their place of employment. I'm sure the owner is proud to have a great bunch of ladies working for her and representing her salon.
good clean place! – The people woking there are friendly unlike salons in the Austin area. I haven't been pushed into buying something I don't want I HATE WHEN BUSINESSES DO THAT.
cleanest tanning place ever – Love this salon. It is very very clean. The employees are knowledgeable and down to earth. They don't pressure you into high dollar lotion you don't need. It's not all about upselling. It's layed back and again very clean. The last chic/dude apparently hasn't ever been to hottie tan in hutto.
