Bad Business Practices. Does not open on time, clueless and rude staff, poorly cleaned beds (someone who tanned before me was using lotion with tingle factor in it, I tanned next and it turned every piece of skin that touched the bed bright red for hours), un-appologetic for their mistakes (staff and management), constantly broken mystic tan, and last but most importantly, criminal billing. Billed me twice in Nov of '09 saying they switched billing companies in July and no one got billed then so they are playing catch up with billing, checked by statement, I did get billed in July, had to fax them by bank statement in order to get refund. Also, they increased their charges by like $2 a month (no big deal there, but still its nice to be in the loop when things involve your bank account). And though my account has only been closed for a month now, I have heard from countless former customers that 4months later they are still being billed and having to call and fight with management monthly. So frustrating, really dont want to monitor my bank account for the next 6 months to ensure these crooks aren't stealing from me anymore. Thinking about changing my account just so they can't do this. Sad.

Don't trust with your credit card!!!!. Two years after moving from Austin and cancelling my membership....they keep charging my credit card and I have to call every month for someone to credit me back. It's a pain and management is awful...they can't figure a way to just remove me from the system so it has been my problem to deal with! Not worth it, don't trust your credit with them!

Always late to open. This morning was the third time I have shown up to Image Sun on Slaughter at 9:30 and the doors were still locked. This is the only time I have available in my day to tan and it peeves me that I pay for service and can't use it! The owner has no idea how to run a business, the staff is immature with lots of turnover. I still tan there, but once my points run out, I'm running from THIS Sun!

Don't expect them to open on time!!. The tanning beds are o.k. but a little small for my preference. I don't get the chance to tan that often because of my work schedule, but when I do have the chance I am still rushed for time. SO my biggest complaint is that in the past month and a half I have tried to tan around 9:45am and to my surprise I have found the door locked!! They open at 9am!! This has happened to me 3 times now. Because of this I have cancelled my membership!!

Tanfastic.. I've gone to a lot of tanning salons, and this is one of the best I've found in Austin. I've had a membership here for about 18 months. I wasn't very pleased with the first owner/manager and the way things were run in the past (closing early/opening late, apathetic staff, dirty beds.) However, under the direction of the new owner, there has been a complete change in how things are run. The new owner has hired staff who are knowledgeable, attentive, energetic. The beds are clean - always. The VIP membership I bought was a bargain, and I received a deluxe goody bag. With membership, I have unlimited tanning in the Level 1 beds; the Level 1 beds are better than a lot of salons higher level beds. I buy session points to upgrade to the higher level beds, one of which is a Sportareddo stand-up booth. Although I don't use it, Image Sun has a Mystic Tan. They carry Swedish Beauty and Australian Gold brand lotions and, even though I don't use these brands of lotion, they seem to have a good selection, and the staff is knowledgeable about the lotions. (I wish they carried Designer Skin or Synergy!) The hours of operation fit right into my schedule, and the location couldn't be any better - right between WalMart and Petsmart off I-35 @ Slaughter.
