Best green verde salsa! – I go to this restaurant frequently, and find the food to be of good quality, tasty, and the atmostphere is friendly. This is a great place to stop on my way home from work and meet friends. Their green verde salsa is one of the best I have found in Houston. I usually order the fajitas or beef enchiladas. There may be other restaurants which are better, but this place is nice, clean, convenient, and comfortable. The food is better than average, the wait staff is great. I continue to go here over other options more often than not. Give it a try .....
GREAT MEXICAN FOOD!!!!!! Lovely Place – There are way too many Mexican Restaurants in Houston!!! Its always a gamble when you try one for the first time. I recently moved here from San Antonio (The kings of Mexcian Food), and was in a dire crave for some good ol Mexican Food. I happened to pass by this place and VOILA!!!! MAGIC!!!! The service the enviroment and the staff, wonderful! The food was also a match to place! From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the manager and within mins, the waiter was there with my drink order. I had the Nachos to start off with, Fabulous!!! Then I went for the tacos al carbon Mmmmmmmm. This restaurant brought me back HOME!!!!!!! I missed it so much and this was a zone, that made me feel right there. I loved it and would recomend it over and over again!!!! Try their Friday nights awesome RITA deals and also LIVE MUSIC!!!
Beautiful Enviroment and Excellent Mexican Food! – I am a very picky person, upon arriving I had read the reviews posted earlier. I had mixed feelings but I went ahead and tried it. I am sure glad that I did!!! it as wonderful!!! The ambience was delightful and the customer service reminded me of service I used to recieve overseas, where people are alot more friendly and make you feel right at home. The manager's name is Mirtha and she was lovely! A delightful person to talk to. She seems like she really cares what goes on in her establishment. Anything I asked her she would promtly see to it! The food was FABULOUS. I tried the queso flameado. It was delish! It makes my mouth water as I think about it. Then I had the Fajitas plate... The meat was so tender and the seasoning on it was amazing. The dessert was no letdown either. Flan personally made by Mrs. Mirhta (I suppose) was a favorite of mine. I have visited MANY Mexican Resaraunts and I consider ths one a small hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered. I hope that others read this and give it a try! Nonetheless, I will go back again and again.
Great food and service! – A friend refered us to the restaurant and I usually don't care much for Mexican food but I have to make an exception for this place. The prices were great, the service was awesome and the food delicious. Both of their salsas were terrific. I had the stuffed avocado and we shared the nacho appetizer and both were cooked perfectly and not overly seasoned. They have great happy hour prizes and free munchies! $1.99 margaritas! I have come back again and again with more friends and have had the same great service and food. The manager introduced herself to us and she has been so nice ever since. Definitely worth checking out.
Worst Mexican Restaurant, stay away from this place! – This is absolutely the worst Mexican restaurant we've ever been... How bad can you mess up on mexican food..? They did. We decided to give this restaurant a try since we just moved into this neighborhood and what a mistake! It was mid-March. We arrived and they had no air conditioner on! The temperature was cooler outside than inside the restaurant. The front entrance stunk of sewage/mew dew/moldy/ humid/damp and that should've been a big sign but we proceeded to our table. There was only one other table with guests. After sitting for 10 minutes, I finally asked the lady manager about the air conditioner since the windows could not be opened. She said it was on.. then came back and told us the waiter just saw it was not on??!!! How fresh could the food be if they were too cheap to turn on the freakin air conditioner? She claimed it was because it was the school holidays and they did not expect so many customers so they didn't have a full staff and almost didn't open that day. I feared we would be food poisioned. We were not luckily, but the food was AWFUL, THE WORST! Stay away from this place at all cost.
