The Phone Number is not 512-997-9100 – I don't know if they changed their number or are out of business, but this is no longer their number. This is the number to Texas Ecogrow. We get about 20 calls a day for wings n things. Just sayin
So so as a Sports Bar – The first time I went I was watching an NFL game. There was a little less than a minute left and the team I wanted to win was driving for the win. Before the game was over the channel was changed to a game one of the employee's wanted to watch. Then they couldn't figure out how to change the channel back until well after the game I wanted to watch was over.
They said they were sorry and didn't think anyone was watching the game.
Sorry, but if you are working, you should not be changing the channels of a TV to what you want to see unless you are ABSOLUTLY sure nobody is watching the TV that would be impacted.
I've had better experiences since then, but if I can, I go somewhere else.
Poor food, worst customer service – My boyfriend and I visited this place for dinner one night. The minute we arrived, the entire staff seemed ready to close down and head out - with each other. We both had cheeseburgers w/ fries. They give out mayo & mustard packets with their burgers, and only had one mayo packet left. Seriously? The restaurant is in the same parking lot as Wal-Mart. They must have bought the hamburgers & buns from them already! The manager, or the one who was delegating anyway, had lower-management written all over him. At one point, he decided to yell through the store that it was time to close down, while my boyfriend and I and one other table were still in the restaurant. This is exactly what other restaurants should look to see what NOT to do.
Don't waste your time!
Editorial Review – Family-friendly environment with knock-your-socks-off chicken wings, fresh salads, hamburgers, kids menu and big screen TV's.
Not Satisfied – I had heard some good things about this place. I tried it and the wings were dry and the sauce was not too flavorful. The bar was nice. Not many people there. I also ordered food to-go and it took approx 20 minutes to get 10 wings. Very disappointed. But you must try it for yourself.
Definitely Worth Checking Out – Wings N Things is a really nice find on the North side of Austin. Good sized bar with seating for 10-12 or so people. They have quite a few flat screen TV's and always have a game on to watch. Food is really good. If you like chicken wings, they are fantastic and reasonably priced. They also have a good selection of appetizers and sandwiches. All in all, one of my favorite places to meet friends.
Great Wings, Chill Place – I go to Wings N Things for lunch a lot and happy hour after work. They've got some good specials but the real reason to come is for the wings and the sports watching. You can watch any game, any sporting event, on any of their flat screens. I can't wait for football season to start! I've found my new home away from home!
Excellent Wings – The atmosphere at Wings-N-Things is definitely designed to suit male tastes and preferences. However, it doesn't feel sleazy, like some sports bars can be and it's definitely a place you can still take the kids. The service is always with a smile and the staff makes you feel right at home. I have not adequately checked out the menu selection. The wings are just too good to pass up. However, I distinctly remember seeing some salads and burgers go by. Whoever ordered those items were amateurs. Congratulations to the owners for creating a casual, neighborhood place to chill with a beer, watch some sports, and eat some good grub.
Great Neighborhood Hang Out – I've gone to Wings-N-Things several times. It's locally owned and operated so you feel you can go there and really hang out - nobody trying to hurry you in and out. They've got a good selection of menu items - wings, hamburgers, and a kid's menu for the kiddos. The waitstaff is super friendly and they've got a nice projection screen and several flat screens to watch sports on. It's going to be a great place to watch the Longhorns games in the fall.
