Big Disappointmnet – What a disappointment. My friends and I were looking for a great meal and we were all disappointed. The pasta offerings were limited and the salads were tasteless. Our server was friendly; however, he lacked enthusiasm. We certainly won't rush back to Bibo.

Don't even waste your time – This was the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Minnesota. My mother and I tried to eat there a couple of months ago, only to find that most of the items on the menu were not available. The waiter mentioned something about a "truck Not coming In". After only receiving the glass of wine I ordered, and Waiting forever for even a salad, we left SOOO- we went again and thought we would give it another try this past weekend. OH MY GOODNESS- Terrible experience again- this time worse. Our service was awful. The waitress only had 3 tables, did not check to see if we needed more beverages. Our food was VERY slow to come out and the explanantion was they had a large pizza order to go. YIKES- We tip when we eat in. Then food came scattered. Food was not good. We had to add pepper and salt to get any flavor. Food was cold. Here is the best part- We asked for to-go boxes. My son got his box, boxed his food up only to find shards of glass. By this time he went to speak to the manager. She told him that it was there from the manufacturer of the boxes. HELLO! And to think we paid for this. Yep- no offer to make us happy at all. The only positive experience here was the hostess was very nice, polite and apologetic. The manager was not apologetic at all. I asked for the owners name and number, but not sure I even got the correct one. Prices were WAY TOO HIGH and everything is ala carte. A salad is $9.00. There are some very good restaurants in Eagan. I would highly suggest Hoban Korean. Yeck- if you are looking for italian, I would go to Fitz's before I ever considered Viva Italia.

One of a kind, delicous Italian Food – My husband and I visited Viva Italia for the first time last Monday. The fresh faced hostess greeted us with a smile and led us to a booth in a small intimate dining room. The menu features authentic Italian cuisine such as homemade lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs and veal parmesean. Our server was very knowledgable and suggested menu items after telling her what types of things we liked. Our final choices were awesome! I had linguini pesto with grilled chicken breast which was light, fresh, and filling and my husband had the tortillini alle pana, which was creamy and very flavorfull. Unlike most restaraunts the server explained that everything at Viva Italia was made to order, so ingriedents can be added and removed to your liking. We ended the evening with their home-made New York style cheese cake with strawberries which was dense, moist and overall heavenly. We cannot wait to go back!!!

Packaged deal- great fine dining experience in every aspect – I have had great past experiences at Viva and just went this past Friday night. The service was great and the food very tasty. I went with my boyfriend and we both loved our experience. Its a great atmosphere for couples yet has a family atmosphere as well. We went after the dinner rush so therefore felt the romantic ambiance which probably wouldn't have been as apparent if we would have went earlier. We started with the spinach dip which was full of flavor and then shared the italian chopped salad which was tasty as well. The salad was perfect to share. For entrees he had the carne pizza and I had the chicken amore. Both were excellent. The experience was at a slower pace which should be when entering a fine dining atmosphere which was exactly what we were looking for. It is not a chain restaurant which is hard to find nowadays. Our server was very knowledgable and offered suggestions upon request. We will be returning very soon.

Just OK – This is a comfortable space in the suburbs, but the ambition and quality has slipped since our previous visit. Apparently there was a change in the kitchen; the previous menu, which featured real Italian specialties, has been pared back substantially. The table used to get fresh bread along with olive oil; now it's bland breadsticks and a pizza (dipping) sauce rather than oil. The garlic bread is overpriced at $5, IMHO. Sundays and Mondays do feature half-priced bottles of wine, though. Entrees were better than average, but not outstanding. For an Italian-restaurant night out costing a family of four $100, you could probably do better. We'll likely go back to Al Vento in the Lake Nokomis neighborhood, for instance.

Where's the taste? – Visited this establishment on a Wednesday evening. It was not busy and not good. The service was spotty at best. We ordered a glass of wine, a glass of water, a margarita pizza to start. The water and wine were fine, but the margarita pizza was the strangest I've ever tasted. I've had Smart One or Lean Cuisine pizzas that tasted better.

Our entrees were no better. The chicken saltimbocca's 'sauce' if you will was wine mixed with nothing and not cooked off. The spicy chicken pasta tasted like nothing - literally. The sauce had to have been mayo and the noodles were sticky. Yuck!

3/4 of the way through the meal when everyone else in the restaurant had bread we had to ask for it when the server asked how we were doing. What a waste! The breadsticks were cold with gross herbs in them. I bet it was bread mix for a bread maker.

I will NEVER go back to this strip mall joint that's trying to be something else. When in Eagan and you want something Italian, go to the Italian Pie Shoppe instead. At least there's taste.

This is Italian? – We went on a Saturday evening. We were seated in an area where every time the front door opened you received a blast of cold air (it was below zero). The waitress was very knowledgeable and nice. Our food was a complete disappointment. I had the chicken bianco. The chicken was overdone and the sauce completely tasteless! My husband orderd the scampi fradiavolo. The sauce had a very smokey backround to it, not at all complimentary to the dish. He was served an unopened clam and he also bit into a piece of clam shell. It was an expensive meal that was very unpleasant. We will never to go back.
