Best Thai I've every had.

Best Thai in the cities – I have eaten good food in a great many places. I have been fortunate enough to travel and experience authentic food in quite a few different countries. I have eaten Thai at most, if not all of the popular twin cities restaurants. While some of them are good, none stand up to Lemongrass. If you like the real thing, this is the only place to go. I have eaten there many times in the past 5 years, and tried almost half of their menu. I have never been disappointed. The staff is always prompt and courteous, although I am particular to Henry, as I have most often dealt with him. Prices are very reasonable as well. If you like Thai, give these folks a visit. I bet you keep going back!

Service isn't the best but Food is worth it!! – Their service does stink but the food is too yummy to keep me away from this place. I suggest getting take out and enjoy ANYTHING on the menu. This is by far our favorite Thai place in the twincities!

Great Thai restaurant in the burbs – It's located in a little strip mall in Brooklyn Park, not much competition since the food is actually better than Sawatdee, a lot more authentic.

It has one of the best tom yum soup around -- that's the one thing we order from there consistently and nothing else.

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! – You know, I was a fan of this place because the food there is actually decent. Its the only decent thai food in brooklyn park. But after my experience today, I will no longer be going there.

I simply called in an order for pad thai and duck curry to be picked up. I got there, checked my ordered, and it was wrong. So I kindly said, "this order doesnt have the pad thai." The owner proceeded to the kitchen to get his wife who had taken the order. She came out and said in the rudest tone, "YOU SAID CHICKEN SATAY!" I was shocked at her reaction since I wasn't complaining. I kept my composure and said, "Im pretty sure I ordered the pad thai". She left quite angry at me and yelling to someone in the back. Once she had made the pad thai, she came back and put it with the SATAY that I did not ordered. So I again, I kindly said, I ordered the duck and pad thai. Thats the chicken satay." Mad at me as if I had not made myself clear enough, she walked to the back yelling about me again. By this time, I was frustrated because if anyone had the right to be mad, it was ME. Yet I was the one being yelled at because SHE took the wrong order down and couldnt get my order straight? What has good customer service come to when the customer is more apologetic for something the owner did wrong?!? You couldn't take down a simple order and took your anger out on me, made me felt ridiculously stupid for even ORDERING anything.

I will never EVER go back to this ridiculous restaurant who knows NOTHING bout customer service. Trust me, ITS NOT WORTH IT. Sawatdee's food may not measure up to this, but at lest you'll be treated like a human person there!

By the way, the $11 curry duck had 2 drumsticks and 4 thinly slices of breast. It filled less than half of a quart. Get your moneys worth elsewhere. I should've just got a whole roasted duck next door for $15! Wht waste of time, money, and PATIENCE!

Superb food, generous portions, a gem hidden in a suburban mini mall. – My fiancee Dianne read good reviews about Lemon Grass on a couple of food blogs. Since it is only a few miles from us we went with her cousin Peg for supper this evening. The decor is about what you would expect for a strip-mall Thai restaurant, it looks a bit like they decorated by hitting the close-out section of International Brass (although they did have a nice little shrine to the Buddha on one wall), and Thai music videos were playing on a flatscreen on another wall (but the music was not overly loud). There were only a couple of tables occupied when we arrived (about 5PM on a Saturday night), but the aromas wafting through the air were tantalizing.

We were greeted immediately, and seated promptly. The waitress came back to take our order very quickly. We started with the Golden Triangles (deep-fried crab and cream-cheese stuffed wontons) and lettuce wraps (diced chicken with rice and spring onion that you put on a lettuce leaf, drizzle sauce over and roll up to eat), for our entrees I had the Southern Curried Noodles with chicken and green curry paste(substituting rice noodles for the egg noodles), Di had a duck curry, Peg ordered the Buddha's Belly and we got a plate of curried rice for the table. Everything arrived very quickly. The Triangles were wonderful, with a slightly sweet dipping sauce that nicely complemented the savory filling. The lettuce wraps were perfectly okay, but a little on the dry side for my taste. The entrees were uniformly delicious. I asked for spicy and it was, but the heat did not overpower the flavor. The duck was a little less spicy so the delicate flavor of the bird came through, and while the Buddha's Belly was a little on the mild side, it too had a nice complex of flavors which were not overpowered by the heat. And there was no skimping on the servings, all of the portions were very generous.

We finished off with the sweet rice with mango and sweet black rice with ice cream. Both were superb. Out of space.

Cute restaurant, good food. – I have been to Lemongrass twice now. The first time i had chicken satay and tom ka gai and it was fantastic. The second time I got the red curry and it was okay. I ordered it spicy, which it was, but it didn't have much flavor. It had little to no coconut milk and was kind of oily. It may have been an off night, so i will go back.
