WONDERFUL SERVICE AND GREAT SELECTION!!! The staff was very patient and honest with me and my father. When we brought up concerned about the vehicle, they were very accommodating and worked with us. They answered all questions truthfully and when they didn't have the answer, they went out of their way to get the answer. It felt like they were up front and didn't beat around the bush. Great experience and great car selection!
Midwest Car Search has been great for me with two of my cars. My Honda van needed front brakes and rotors, plus had one badly worn tire. They did a great job on the brakes, and found a used tire matching the other three in wear at a great price. I can now replace all four tires together later this year.
My Nissan SUV was in about a year ago. It had 120k miles and needed a bunch of work on the engine, specifically replacing a head gasket that was leaking water. It also had an O2 sensor problem that was tricky to reproduce. They worked hard to reproduce it and fix it. One year later the SUV is still running great -- even today when it is 10 below zero.
I have a flickering headlight problem with my Toyota Xenon headlights that I will be bringing in soon for them to fix.
Victor James Nelson is the biggest scumbag used car salesman on this side of the Mississippi. I don't trust this guy as far as I can throw him. Will duct tape the car to get it off the lot and laugh in your face after it breaks down. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

As the owner of Midwest Car Search I would like to share with you some of the details about Sean's purchase. Sean purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Uplander in September of 2012. The Uplander was sold as-is because of the mileage on the vehicle. Any vehicle with greater than 100k miles is offered with the option to purchase a warranty for $199. Sean declined the coverage. We have a complete service department for our customers and let them know that after the sale we will help them out to have any maintenance or repairs that may come up after the sale at a wholesale price to them. 1 month after Sean's purchase he called with a complaint of his tie rod ends needing to be replaced. The other owner worked with Sean on the phone. Victor explained that we would take a look at Sean's Uplander at no charge to him to verify that any maintenance that may need to be performed was in fact required to be replaced per factory tolerances. We have been in the business since 2004 and have sold over 2,600 vehicles during that time. Throughout those years we have seen 100's of times that customers have had vehicles in to other service facilities and have been told that parts needed replacement only to find out that they were in fact not needing replacement. After sharing that with Sean and offering to look at the vehicle Sean informed Victor that he "hoped that Victor would die in a fiery car crash on his way home".
My tip is for anyone buying a used car to go to Midwest Car Search. Honest, up front, no pressure sales. Love these guys.
Have purchased at least two cars and my son bought a car. And I highly recommend them. Remember you are buying a used car and not a new one. I am very pleased with the vehicles. There were a few minor things that had to be taken care of, but nothing major. The staff is helpful in finding a car that fits my needs and budget and have been very upfront and honest. I will certainly return again when I am shopping for a car and highly recommend Midwest Car Search.
bought a 2006 chev uplander from midwest. when i purchased this vehicle i payed it in all cash. was told if there was a problem to bring it in and it would be taken care of. brought vehicle back in since steering started locking up while turning and front end souded like it was falling apart. this was all days within buying vehicle. they are bullies when getting you to buy a vehicle and are not willing to work with you on anything. they did tell me that they would fix the problem for me at there shop but i would have to pay for repairs. 6 year old vehicle and is sold with problems. oh yeah and check oil next day after buying and was 2 quarts low. they sure check out there vehicles. was also told by sale person that i pay 7 thousand cash for it so what did i expect. will never recommend for anyone to buy from this business. cant believe that there doors are even open for business when they sell troubled cars and treat people like crap. will keep spreading the word about this place until they are all in the unemployment line :)
Response to "Dont Never Buy a Car FromThis Place" – Ms. Watkins purchased a 2000 Monte Carlo with 164k miles. A search on cars and carsoup shows our price to be one of the lowest within 50 miles. We have sold 2,351 vehicles since opening in January 2005. It is certainly never our intent to sell any vehicle with known mechanical problems. Ms. Watkins transmission did in fact fail 2 weeks after purchasing the vehicle. The vehicle was sold with a 2yr 24,000 mile warranty that did cover the transmission. The warranty company had not received the contract at that time and there was a period of wait to submit a claim. As for the credit card dispute Ms. Watkins did not have a credit card to Start her insurance policy. The charge was put on our company credit card and we were billed for a 6 month premium. We disputed the charge as we had only received the 1 month start up fee from Ms. Watkins.
