Good place to socialize – Kramer's offers a nice ambiance for people who want to kick back and relax after a long day. The staff is nice and the bartender remembered my drink. There is no rush to get out because they let you stay as long as you like.
Cool spot, friendly staff, good pours, reasonable prices – Cool place. Kramer's a good friendly dude and drink pours are strong and Mitch from Poolhall is now there also on some nights. I heard they've been showing UFC and other fights also so I might have to give my 49.95 payperview charge to the bartenders for getting me my buzzage : D
bye bye – Decent bar if you have not other choices for the night. Kramer, one of the owners is a 100% male organ. The other bartenders are fine. Green walls and very loungey! Reasonable prices unless the bartenders are too drunk to remember the prices of their own drinks. I'll pass
Great Buckhead Bar with Southern Hospitality – I don't know about yall, but I was really sad when the old area of Buckhead shut down :(. --> I really like Kramer's because it reminds me of some of those bars. The bartenders remember you, are so nice, will come out from behind the bar and socialize (if not working), and become your friends. Not being form Atlanta myself . . . . I certainly appreciate the southern hospitality that Kramer's offers.
ummmm – i like the way its shaped. Plus, unlike texas you don't need a green card to get in. Ask for Erin, she's cool
Avoid on weekends – The other posters here need a dose of reality. This bar is nothing more than 4 walls and a roof, run by some career bartenders in their mid 30's. I personally witnessed 3 bar fights on my visit there, one involving a pool cue. The entire place smells like a cross between a used ash tray and day old urine. And don't get me wrong, this isnt a lovable dive like Star Bar, Northside Tavern, or even 5 paces. This place is more like a failed attempt at an American Pie, and would appeal to the same type of patrons. Anybody with a college degree would not like this place.
Why say no when it feels so good to say yes!! – Oh my gosh! I usually never write reviews but I really felt compelled to write this one b/c of the hospitality I had while at "Kramer's".
To mix up 'the scene' my girlfriends and I ventured to Kramer's b/c we heard a few cute guys from Pool Hall and 5P that opened this new bar. We love 5P, Red Door and Pool Hall but theres something to say about a bar that has the cutest bartenders (Smed and JJ) , great music, and enough space to 'dance' a bit.
Anything goes at Kramer's and it seemed at one point that the girls out-numbered the guys! Scott Smedley's antics behind the bar need to be seen first hand. Hilarious. He's a great dancer too! JJ's a hottie and he's very mysterious which always keeps you guessing. Kramer himself? Fantastic, and overall great host. I actually heard that they have guest bartenders from time to time? Scott P may be making guest appearance?!?! Just let me know what day and I'll be recruiting all my girls for that one!! I remember him from 5p, very cute even though he went to Virginia Tech. Still adorable and funny.
Anyways, if you've never ventured over, this place has enough room to mingle and it's right across from red door. I cannot wait for better weather b/c their deck out front tripples the size of the bar space! The crowd in general is overall 'good looking' . No fights, no jack*sses to deal with.
Ask for the Swedish Fish, they're yummy!
Best Looking Bar Crowd in Hotlanta – Kramer's is new - opened in August 2006. The two owners, Kramer and JJ, know how to mix a yummy round of shots (Swedish Fish and Yueger Bombs are my favorites), the beer is always cold and the crowd is young (but not under age) & good looking.
Kramer's has a fun front patio to hang out on when the weather is nice. They have patio tables around a fountain and you can still hear the music from the jukebox, which takes credit cards which is always a plus for me since I never carry cash. Also, they have a bunch of TVs for football watching, and a pool table, and Golden Tee, etc.
The place has a lot of space with one bar in the front and one in the back. If you walk in and the front bar looks crowded, just head to the back bar for your first drink. Also in the back bar are two clean/large restrooms which are never as crowded as the two bathrooms up front.
Also, there's a Domino's Pizza next door and if you call and place an order from Kramer's and ask for the Kramer's Special, it's only like $6 - but for that deal you do have to walk over and pick it up...no delivery on $6 pizzas.
And I think Kramer's even has gift cards!
