obnoxious owner/manager – We asked the owner/manager for his recommendation on the best sashimi tuna, and he said "Toro - 2 pieces for $6". Bill comes and it's now turned into $8.95. When we remind him he told us $6, he says oh no... that was for something else. So we, to avoid a scene say fine, run the bill ... but even the waitress says "oh, I believe you". All he had to do for proof was look at the original sushi/sashimi order sheet, as it was in his OWN WRITING. This isn't about the extra 2 bucks or's the principle and how you run your busienss. Apparently he has a repuation for being obnoxious based on the waitress's reply. Lost our business, and the business of every friend we know in the Littleton and Highlands Ranch area.

Good Food – I like their rolls a lot. Can be on the small side for portioning especially for the price, but they taste good. Staff is pretty nice. If you are craving sushi or other Japanese food give them a try.

$1/piece for amazing sushi? I'm in. – Littleton should have a reputation for terrific ethnic food if it does not by now. Sushi Basho is yet another addition (Granted this addition is now years old) to a slowly and strongly growing group of really excellent ethnic restaurants - also including Wild Ginger, Damascus Grill, Master Chef, and now Sushi Basho). The atmosphere feels like a strip mall, though the restaurant itself is located at Bowles and Sante Fe. The location makes it super accessible, and the staff is hyper-friendly. Most of the sushi menu is $1/piece which is an amazing deal anywhere, especially in Denver where the food prices have steadily risen in the past few years. The Sushi is non pareil in its freshness, I will put it up against Sushi Den in freshness, especially the fast moving fish like Salmon and Tuna. The Tuna can be ambiguous as far as where in the fish you are getting it from. Sometimes you will get deep red fish with beautiful marbling which comes from the lower part of the fish near it's stomach, and then other times you will get pinkish tuna which is really the throw away stuff at most restaurants. It's delicious though, and where else can you gorge yourself for $30? Highly recommended.

Consistently the best – Sushi Basho is awesome! From the outside, it's really nothing special and thousands of people drive by daily and probably never notice it. We ate there once for the heck of it and were greatly surprised. The staff are all welcoming and friendly but...the yummy! We always start with the Tuna Poke appetizer. It's exquisitely fresh and superior grade. The rolls are expertly rolled, not so big that you can't eat in one bite. Our favorites are "Crazy Roll", and anything on the specials board is always good. I even love the hot green tea! We are always amazed at how good it is, and yes, we also eat at Sushi Den, Sushi Tazo, Japon etc. We spend more at those places and "Basho" is our new fave. Try it!

I LOVE SUSHI BASHO!! – This restaurant is on my way home from work and when I am wanting sushi and/or Japanese food this is a MUST STOP for me! happy hour sake(2 for 1)-while i am waiting for my dinner to be prepared. Sushi is straight forward and very, very fresh. Miso soup hits the spot-on those Miso Soup kind of days. Tempura is passable. I have not had any of the Japanese Entrees, as I am usually jonesing for Sushi. The staff could not be any friendlier, the restaurant is child friendly for those developed pallates. I believe that they offer a 'sushi happy hour' for those dining in. This feels like a great neighborhood restaurant-no pretensions, just trying to do their very best. They do remember their returning customers, which is HUGE. At times there are some creative sushi entries on the board and the staff is more than willing to explain. Hawaiian Poke shows up quite often as well!

with much aloha
