starch starch & more starch – This place is good, if you ran out of options or need some extra pounds! The fresh food is good, but past 12:oo p.m. don't think about it! They have an abundance of pastas every day, they don't provide vegetables, and food isn't always as fresh or as homemade as claimed! The salads and fruit cups they have available are good, when in stock. prices are bareable, but disputable! Veverages beware! They do have a large variety of drinks available, but soda machine tends to be broken all the time, as reads the broken sign on the machine, and milk tends to go expired and still sit in the refrigerator. Service is friendly, but you aren't going there to make a friend, you're going there to eat! My advice, take the extra stroll and make your way down to another place, it will be much worth it!
Great food and service. Not fast food, Good food quickly – Stuart St. Grill has a great breakfast and lunch. Good prices and friendly staff.
By the way, topofthelinereview, for someone who seems to dislike this place you certaintly know a lot about the food and daily menu. In my opinion i think the place serves good food and has reasonable prices. You didn't really eat all that pasta everyday, did you? i would suggest you try a salad. I' m sure they will gladly make you a salad.
What about all those muffins? Did you really eat all those muffins? Is that why you are so angry?
You could have asked for more ketchup and napkins to wipe your fingers.
Best breakfast in Back Bay – Stuart St Grill is one of the best places for breakfast in the Back Bay. The aroma of fresh brewed coffee lures you in and the friendly staff hooks you. They open bright and early and I stop in every morning for breakfast and a few times a week for lunch. Although they get really busy on certain times of the day the staff is always very freindly and eager to help so you can be on your way. The breakfast potatoes are my favorite and the lunch is always varied with "home cooked" comfort food and even veggie meals. The soups are fresh and delicious and the meatloaf and salsbury streak are the best. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by and try for yourself. You will not be dissappointed by this modern mom and pop lunch spot.
EXPIRED MILK! Higher and higher prices – Stuart St. Grill, located in the 140 HOTEL isn't the place you want to spend your money on. Granted, from first looks you would think.. nice joint to have a nice breakfast..WRONG! they have eggs in a carton, the bacon sits out for hours, they charge an arm and a leg for additional toppings, and it isn't the greatest! the coffe is pretty good, but don't dare try and get ANY milk out of that milk dispenser. it is moldy, crusted on milk. it was utterly disgusting to hear one of the staff saying "they never wash this thing"! As far as their pastries;DON'T! The owner will tell you they get it delivered "fresh everyday" but to my experience and knowledge they aren't. They actually might sitt there for a couple of days, maybe even weeks before they throw them out! Getting hungrey yet? Well, join them for lunch and all you will get are frozen foods made to look fresh with a little extra sauce. Their menu NEVER CHANGES. They provide pasta 5 days a week. From the tasteless mac & cheese, to the meatless American chop suey this restaurant tries to get the most of their buck. A plate of mac & cheese will cost you $6.00 with NOTHING INCLUDED. portions are small, unless it's closing time, then they try to give you the most before tehy throw it out. The burgers are pretty good, granted, these aren't fresh either. Forget about getting a pack of KETCHUP to go,they don't like to give them out. I heard an employee asking the middle eastern owner if she "could" give out ketchup and he replied no.. only to the ones that REALLY need it. they hide ketchup packages and give you only 1 or 2! continuing with the pasta theme, they do have a pretty good and FRESH meatloaf, and chicken parm, just make sure tehy cook it right, i was given an UNDERCOOKED RAW chicken parm sub. They also include a SANDELLA'S stand which is pretty good. fresh made wraps, but becreful with the cold cuts, they have to smell it to see if it's ok! As far as prices, they GO UP EVERY WEEK! TIPS, DON'T TIP THE OWNER!!!!
