My father was transferred here with out consent and then went on a downward spiral. . I could not get any doctors or staff to communicate with me and I was out of state until he was put on life support which I had a living will and all legal documents that I brought to the hospital and was ignored. He had been doing better at the previous hospital and so when I asked why he was dying, the nurses were rude to me and talked to me like i was 5 years old... the staff would not listen to me when I brought the paper work. The doctor was avoiding me. I was the only family that my father had who could be present on his behalf. I think this place has a policy of leaving family out of the picture so that they can do whatever malpractice they want behind closed doors. Please don't send loved ones here. If you have family here don't let the staff dismiss you if you are their advocate. Let them know that you are willing to file complaint against them as that was the only way that they would follow legal procedure. This place is terrible.

My wife had multi organ such down the week of Labor Day. After a month in TGH and a long terrifying month I might add she was able to be admitted to Kindred Tampa Bay and within 2 weeks the team at Kindred was weaning her off of her Trach with no complications. The compassion and caring staff could not have been no better to the whole family. Myself wanted to spend every hour I could with my wife and they tolerated me in the room when I could be there. We are from St. Augustine and Cindy was life glibness to TGH September 8 2013 admitted to Kindred Tampa Bay October 8 2013 and now we are in a aggressive Physical Theropy Facilty in Ormond Beach Florida because our case workers bent over backwards to help my wife get the care that she needed when she needed it. We will go back to see our Family at Kindred at a later date and will walk in there to open arms I feel sure as we will at TGH at the appropriate time and again to open arms. My little wife has nicknames like Our Perfect Storm,My Miracle Patient and I see a lot of Wows as I tell her story and great Drs. Named her these nicknames. I can say with no regret that I would have not taken My Miracle Patient through a Perfect Storm without the help of TGH and Kindred Hospital to the next level of care that she is able to receive today! Thank you to the Kindred Family so much from my family to yours, you are in my prayers daily to help another life and another family as you have helped mine.

Thank You So Much,

Rudy Leeds and Cindy Johnson

My Father was sent to Kindred Hospital after a complications from a surgery he had at another Hospital in another city. The Hospital that performed his surgery treated him very badly. When we got to kindred they were so caring and professional my family was finally able to relax and know that they would take the best care of him possible. They are professional care givers that have developed a family oriented home at the Kindred. My advice is to visit the Kindred Hospital if you are trying to find somewhere for a loved one that needs long term health care and meet the staff. You Can determine for yourself if this is the right place for you. I would also recommend spending as much time as you can with your loved one at the facility for a few days to get them settled in, help the staff get acquainted with the patient ( don't forget this is someone they have never met before ), it is like dropping a child off at day care... you leave a list of things for the person to know... and request you have... I was very happy with the care he received as Kindred Hospital.

My experience here at Kindred Hospital- Bay Area South has been nothing but flawless. I will not just name them as a staff in general, but consider them one by one. Nursing, CNA's, Respiratory, Housekeeping, Dietary, Case management, Personal Ambassador Program (Mrs. Joanne), and Rehab- Physical & Occupational ( Shital, Lincoln, Mona, and Ivelisse). Every person in these categories that were assigned to me gave nothing but their all. They helped me recover from a back surgery from another "high rated" hospital. In that hospital, I lay on my back, with minimal Physical therapy for months. It was not until I was transferred to Kindred South that I was given the chance to improve on my condition. Thanks to everyone who helped me to do this- you know who you are. Each of you have a special place in my heart. Kindred Hospital Bay Area South---YOU ROCK!!!

My mother was admitted on 05/16/2012, since then she has been neglectic at kindred hospital from day one and her heath has gotten worse. Left laying in her waste for hours, not being fed, not being looked after the nurses ETC.... I have a list of over 3 pages long of dates and issues that have been brought up with the managment of KINDRED HOSPITAL and still there are major issues. we are in the process of moving her to another location. DO NOT LET ANYONE YOU LOVE END UP IN THIS HOPSITAL If you have ever seen the movie KINGDOM HOSPITAL by STEPHEN KING that pretty much describes KINDRED HOSPITAL The neglect is outragous and alarming. They are not HIPPA compliant with a lot of issues as well i have filed a complaint with jcaho. Now that we have filed complaints you see a little difference, but they take once step forard and three steps backwards. You can look at my mothers eyes and see that she is not being cared for. The photos on the website for this hospital are lies, the rooms do not look like the photos on the website BEWAREof KINDRED HOSPITAL AND THE STAFF

WE moved my mother to Florida Hospital of Connerton, there they cared for her, treated her and took care of her. Within a month my mom was eating normal food, walking and talking. Today my mother is home and still going strong thanks to Florida Hospital of Connerton. I STILL HAVE NIGHTMARES of my mom being at Kindred. I still remember walking into my moms room and seeing death and despair in her eyes. I WILL NEVER LET KINDRED HOPSITAL have any of my family ever again. After all the neglect and harm they caused my mother, they still sent a bill costing over a million dollars. Most of the charges were all lies, they never cared for my mother like they claimed they did. Plus several days were missing. The day we removed my mother , we walked in and found her on the floor. Noone knew how she got on the floor, and had not been checked on since the prior evening. DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS INTO THIS HOSPITAL, IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE SIGNING YOUR LOVED ONES DEATH CERTIFICATE

I completed four months of nursing clinical rotation here at Kindred Central and am now a Licenced nurse. I was able to see first hand and without bias just how this place is run. This hospital is clean. The staff is always busy! The maintenance crew, food hospitality staff, Wound Care nurses, Registered and Licensed Nurses and CNAs, Respiratory, Speech, Occupational, Physical therapist and Doctors work diligently to no end and really impressed me at how they get so much done. It was evident that everyone that is there really does care about each and every patient. The sad part was how many patients rarely had any family or friends visiting. And was also upset at how these patients came to this facility in such awful health conditions! I questioned how long some of these patients lived before finally getting medically treated. I was shocked at how quickly a patient can take a turn for the worse and how the staff had to consistently be on their toes. I saw patients die and how much the staff did their very best to prevent that! And I saw many many more patients survive and thrive! I saw patients go from seeming hopeless, to being healed and in much improved health condition. The best part about Kindred Central is the team work! What a positive and memorable experience. Kindred helped me confirm the reason why I want to be a nurse.

I am 48, through serious I have been to Kindred twice. Yes, twice. T,.he first time, I was on a trach and was assisted to discontinue it's use. I left kindred alive, and trans to a rehab hospital closer to my home. The 2nd visit was after a hernia operation led to double pneoum and I was already weak from the lengthy hospital stay. Kindred helped me regain my strength, get walking again and go home. Don't let me make it all sound great, a few of the RN's are just horrible. The ones that stand out, are the ones to recognize.

TO: MOBREIN2981 WATCH LOVED ONE CLOSELY – TO ANY HOSPITAL OR ATTENDING PHYSICIAN SENDING PATIENTS TO THIS "REHAB" FACILITY, YOU ARE GIVING YOUR PATIENT A DEATH SENTENCE. YOU SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RELENTLESS SUFFERINGS AND MALICIOUS INTENTIONAL CRUEL TREATMENT OF OUR LOVED ONES. YOU ARE CERTAINLY AWARE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING AT KINDRED HOSPITAL off of Manhattan Ave. in TAMPA, FLORIDA. YOU AND THE ATTENDING "PHYSICIANS" THAT WORK THERE ARE JUST TURNING A BLIND EYE, ALL IN THE NAME OF MONEY. MAY GOD SHOW YOU NO MERCY, JUST AS YOU SHOWED NONE FOR OUR LOVED ONES.

ADMITTED MY VERY SICK MOTHER TO THIS HOSPITAL A FEW WEEKS AGO. IT HAS BEEN A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! THE PLACE IS SMALL, BUT CLEAN AND THE SAFF MAKES UP FOR WHAT THE BUILDING LACKS.

THE STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL, KIND AND CARING. MY MOTHER HAS IMPROVED ALOT, AND WE THOUGHT SHE MIGHT DIE AT THE OTHER HOSPITAL. THIS PLACE HAS GIVEN US OUR MOM BACK!

SHE IS OFF THE VENT, WALKING AND PLANNING TO RETURN HOME VERY SOON.

DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT YOU MAY READ FROM HATEFUL PEOPLE!!

THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL AND THE NURSES ARE THE BEST!
