Kudo's to Arbordale Riding Academy!!! – I just recieved my lastest Issue of Horse Illustrated and of course this months issue is all about Saddlebreds.. low and behold, Arbordale is listed as a riding/teaching barn for this fine breed,, Hats off Ms.Andrea.... Ive read some of the negative comments on here and its really a shame that people will stoop that low to get a RISE...I have boarded and my child has taken lessons from Arbordale for several years and our horses were treated with the best care and affordabilty that the surrounding area has to offer.. Shame on them for not having anything better to do!! Also I was appalled at the negative comments made on our local craigs list,, I dont know why but again Shame on them,, all I can say is use your own judgement and go out and see for yourself.. signed,, a happy customer for years at Arbordale.....
Thank you Donna! Luv u and miss you, Sarah and Jolie. Give Jolie a carrot for me and remind Sarah to keep her legs back under her when she rides ;-)
I will let you know when we are going to do another Ladies Night.
The funny thing is, the Horse Illustrated ad was purchased as a gift for me BY A CUSTOMER because she said Arbordale was the type of Saddlebred barn that needs to be promoted to the public. (Thank YOU Anne for the HI ad! ).
Trainer needs to grow up, stop causing conflicts & teach – My family is being stalked and trash talked by this trainer after spending almost a year doing alot of free labor for this woman. My wife and step-daughter enjoyed being around the horses and thought they were helping. When I was hit by a drunk driver and she needed to be home to help me. This trainer stopped caring for our horse and flat out refused to teach my step-daughter. I am furious that a friend of mine came across all this garbage about my family on these reviews and my family did not post ANY of it. It now makes since why this trainer has continued to stake my 11yr old step-daughter online and harrass her if she thinks we posted these reviews. Sadly, there are so many people that have been mistreated with this trainer she cannot figure them all out. LEAVE MY FAMILY out of your garbage. We left and want nothing to do with you. It would not surprise me if the trainer was posting them herself in order to have the other kids at the barn turn on my step-daughter as other past boarders have commented that they found positive reviews from them that they had in fact not put up.
I am not stalking anyone, it is quite the opposite. All I am trying to do is run my business. You are quite aware of what you are doing "Pawparazzi" I never refused to teach your "step-daughter" except for the times she was disrespectful to me and I had her remove herself from the lesson. If you want your family to be left alone, then I suggest that you quit posting stuff here and on other sites. Everything you post is just more fodder for me to provide my lawyer.
Happy at Arbordale – very happy to have found this place, lessons have been fun and i like how the instrucotor explains stuff and makes studens work on developing there core muscles. i like that he horses are shiney and look great too.
silly people... – Does anyone wonder why the horses are chewing down the stalls???? IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE HUNGRY!!!!!!!!! go around to other barns with well fed horses and you will see that chewing wood is not normal!!!! and no one can blame it on cribbing because every horse in that barn is doing it..
AMEN to that comment...
UNFAIR SHOWING TACTICS – I can say that they are not fair when it comes to showing as her niece trains riders and horses and shows in junior classes and not in trainer classes. this needs to end!!!
Under the rules of the United States Equestrian Federation, (rule GR126) she is considered a junior until December 1st following her 18th birthday, after which she will have to register as either Amateur or Professional with the USEF.
Again, these are two ex-customers creating multiple usernames to try to malign my business through libel and slander. I am documenting ALL of these attemts to do so...emails, text messages, comments on public forums and comments sent to current customers.
The BEST BARN ive ever been to! – I LOVE arbordale! its amazing! andrea always makes sure you have an amazing lesson. she brought me from a terrable rider to a GREAT rider! i <3 andrea ! arbordale is my second home! arbordale brought me from being stuck in a bubble to being able to being the girl i am today! my life has turned into strickly horses(: my favorite horse there is Jahil im in love with him!(:
so if you wanna have fun and turn into a great rider.. then this barn IS RECOMMENDED FOR YOU!(:
wow maybe you just have not been to other barns to experience the real best!!!
Setting the record straight – I cant believe this is still going on after all of these months? The negative comments are a personal issue between former customers and the barn owner! Arbordale is a family orientated barn with great show success. It is very reasonable to keep your horse there! I have never seen urine soaked stalls, and barn owner does clean stalls. When is this harassment going to end? I have been a happy customer for close to 5 years now. Goo Arbordale!!
Owner continues with her own reviews ha,ha,ha – The owner is known to tell people horses are just perfect for their children just to blame the kids.
She has made her own fan club online. The kids, expecially the tween group, love her because there is NO SUPERVISION. They are allowed to run the horses into the ground. Sometimes the boarder's horses. The actual horse owners wind up leaving once the con is over.
Want urine and manure filled stalls? Want 1/2 the feed you supplied or paid for? Want to hear "bump, bump, bump your horse's mouth because she doesn't know anything else......Well then, Arbordale is for you !
Andrea used me and used me to clean stalls and watch horses. Finally I needed her. Riiiight. Must have been her fibromyalgia. She doesn't train or ride the horses....she leaves that to a teenage neice. Her best riders over the age of 13 were trained elsewhere.
VERY VERY TRUE... YES AND HER TEENAGE NIECE SHOW UNFAIRLY IN CLASSES WITH OTHER RIDERS THAT SHE KNOWS SHE CAN BEAT... HOW ABOUT TRYING TO SHOW IN A CLASS WITH OTHER TRAINERS SEE HOW YOU DO IN THERE...
Fantastic place for the low price – In Andrea's defence I must say that if you are expecting top dollar care, then be ready to spend a lot of money. We all want knee deep shavings, expensive feeds, 24/7 hay and the poop to be picked up before it even hits the ground. There are barns that do that and they charge $800 and up each month. That is expensive care.
The basic care that horses get here is just that, it is good and basic. Nothing over the top and the horses are all happy and healthy. If you want more, I know Andrea will work with you. The stalls are done daily, either by Andrea or by her students, usually in the afternoons so that the horses can sleep in a clean stall.
The horses are fed pellets twice a day and they are also getting beet pulp and either T&A or O&A hay (she used to feed Tifton but found a good supplier of better hay). At her new barn she is feeding twice a day with feedings 10-12 hours apart. She has no hired staff and does it all herself or with the help of her teenage students who come out after school to help.
What matters is that the horses are healthy, happy and safe. If you want $1000 care, go to a barn that charges that. Don't go to Andrea and pay her $350 or $400 a month and then complain when you don't get $1000 type services. She delivers excellent care for budget minded people and as I said, if you want extras, she will do it for you, all you have to do is ask and she will let you know if it will cost extra. She has been very flexible with many customers.
I have watched her horses and riders show and they usually place at or near the top at shows with a very long list of top horsemen and horsewomen acting in the capacity of judge. Other top horse professionals from throughout the country abviously think her horses look good and act good enough to be rewarded with top awards.
According to her Facebook from the other week, The Saddle Horse Report magazine in the beginning of May had her horse Dallas ranked first in the nation for open morgan hunter, second in the nation for classic junior rider, third in the nation for hunter junior rider. Another horse in her barn, Teddy is third in the nation for classic junior rider and fourth in the nation for walk and trot pleasure. * * * that bears repeating - IN THE NATION, that means all 50, count-em, 50 states.* * *
She also taught the rider that is the American Morgan Horse association's 2010 Youth of the Year in the SEastern region for riders younger than 14.
I will take her economy minded horsecare and personal attention, over the high-priced fancy barns with hired grooms any day.
yea but there was an award that her niece was named on and SHE DID NOT DESERVE it...
We really like this place – This trainer has horses and riders ranked among the top in the nation, I go to the ranch and see beautiful and healthy horses. I see Mrs. Andrea work very had and very late to do what she does. She runs the barn and teaches lessons without any hired help.
My daughter is in love with Jahil and Bodie and has aspirations of one day riding Dallas who is currently her number one in the nation ranked horse.
I grew up riding in a neighborhood barn similar to this one. I think the problem with the people complaining below is that they are expecting high level services for a low price. If you want high-level service, go to one of the high-brow farms that charge over $1000 a month and have round the clock hired help. If you want and affordable place that still provided good care then this is definitely a place to look into.
I am there often during the week because we lease a horse, and I DO see stalls being cleaned and I DO see how much feed she goes through in a week because I sometimes help her unload feed and hay out of her truck. She told me that the 14 horses go through 110 pounds of grain a day and they get TNA and ONA hay and they get beet pulp and they get alfalfa pellets. I forget the other stuff she gives but it is a lot.
The horses look good and they do alot of winning at the shows we go to.
