Customer Service Professionals – These people are terrific. From Dee Dee taking the calls, setting appointments and working with manufacturers for their customers, to Marty and his speed, efficientcy and ability to "tell you like it is", you will NOT find better customer service or product knowledge in the industry. From the most simple of tasks to helping me maage warranty issues with the manufacturer, I have never found a nicer, more competent service company anywhere. If you have any issue involving your a/v system, call Captain Video first. They are going to get you pointed in the right direction, even if they aren;t the ones who ultimately handle your service.

CV are the ISF Pros – I have used these guys for about 7 years, they have come out to my home in Alpine a few times and provided excellent service. I have had them ISF (Imaging science foundation) - my Pioneer Elite TV and it's made all the difference.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ISF, it's a technique to tune high-end TV's to get the best possible picture, in most cases even the best TV's come from the factory / retailer with about 30% of the 100% picture quality available. ISF is a tuning of your set that can take up to 8 hours, but can improve your picture by 70%, the portable computer systems that tune you set are anywhere from $5K to $30K each, so typically only the higher end better service centers have them. CV has them and I have been impressed with their service over the past several years, I highly recommend them.

Unreasonable schedule windows/delayed responses – We tried to get this company to repair a TV of ours. They would often take a week to get back to me or not respond to my emails unless I resent them. Their policy is not to schedule any appointments until the morning of the repair! In other words, you can't make any plans for the entire day until you've heard from them and their 'window' of time they will come to your home. They refused to schedule any time or window in advance. We've never heard of any company with a policy like that, and it's a very non-customer service oriented way to run a business. We went elsewhere.
