I've been buying a monthly membership at Sana Vita since April of last year, and this is by far, the best place in town for reformer classes. All the instructors (love Pamela) are amazing and supportive; they know each person who comes in by name, as well as their unique physical limitations, strengths, and weaknesses. They always make classes both fun and challenging. They'll compliment you when they see you gain strength or coordination in an area, and give you helpful tips when you struggle. The pilates studio itself is always pristine. They have beautiful high-end equipment, with 3 reformers in the main room and 3 wall units for combination classes. The color scheme of the studio is calming and well done and it has a great vibe. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is serious about their health and wellness.
II've been attending classes 3 days a week for a few weeks now and think my body has already changed. I've had a chance to experience several of the instructors. They're amazing and they care. Always scanning the room to observe what's happening and what adjustments need to be made so attendees get the most out of every class. I'm very thrilled at what's happening in this studio. I like the friendliness of the people, the small class sizes, and the comfortableness of the environment. I don't feel out-of-place at all. The workouts are fun and they usually go by fast, even though it's an hour long. I would recommend this to everyone!
The classes at sana vita are small enough that you get individual attention. The instructors pay attention to you, especially if you are a newcomer to make sure you are getting the most out of your work out and performing all the steps correctly. Marilyn has a great way of explaining the exercises so that I always know how to position myself. I've only been to 4 classes so far but I feel like each instructor has their own routine and different levels of difficulty. The website for scheduling is very easy to use and you can book well in advance to ensure you get a spot at the time you want.
Working Out Can Be Fun – I am very pleased with the classes I have tried at this studio. I started out with the 2 privates lessons with Marilyn which helped me get a good foundation for taking classes. I love the Sunday morning pilates mat class and the boot camp classes with Helena. I feel so energized when I am done. Top notch all the way!
Very Best Prenatal Yoga Instructor – I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been taking the prenatal yoga class for about 2 weeks. I feel that Teri, the instructor, understands women's bodies and how much they change during pregnancy. I appreciate being in the same room with other moms and the studio is very friendly. I feel so much better already! Highly recommend this place.
A Real Gem! – This place is a real gem, just the right size, well equipped, clean, beautiful with a great vibe. But its the staff that makes the place.
Owner Marilyn D'Andrea, not only knows pilates, yoga, etc, but also has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and worked in Cardiac Rehab. She has such a deep knowledge of the body-beyond anyone else I have worked with, and creatively mixes techniques from multiple disciplines. She has helped me address longstanding limitations so that I can improve, and have a great time doing it. Personal and professional together!
They Are The Best!! – Absolutely love this place! I'm in the best shape of my life. Been taking private lessons and I have learned so much about what I was previously doing wrong. No more shoulder and neck pain! I am so grateful to the entire staff at sana vita studio.
I am Motivated – I have never been one to be consistent with exercise. Would get bored easily. Since taking classes at Sana Vita Studio I can say that I am addicted. Say good bye to my sedentary old ways...I am now a lean mean machine. I look forward to my classes and the staff will really motivate you.
Can't get enough of this place – Wow..have been going to this studio for about 4 months. Had alot of back pain when I started and it is completely gone. I can now do the Pilates Boot Camp...this is honestly one of the best workouts I have ever had and I have tried everything. It is always great to see the owner's (Marilyn) interaction with the staff members that are there waiting for their classes to start, and clients leaving classes that ended. It seems like everyone knows each other and there is a good rapport/friendliness. Going to Sana Vita Studio was the best decision I've made in a long time. If you are suffering with chronic pain and feel like you've tried everything, you owe it to yourself to check out Marilyn's studio. I went in skeptical and came out feeling fantastic.
Fantastic Pilates and Boot Camp! – I have been very pleased with my Pilates sessions at Sana Vita. I have explained to Marilyn how my knee gets stressed, and at times also gives me pain, as I squat. She designed a very effective exercise routine that appropriately progressed me through movements and position in which I needed to get stronger in order for the pain to abate. After a session I always feel more balanced and I also feel as if my movements have been corrected. I was especially impressed how Marilyn was attuned to small details as I performed the exercises. I am a personal trainer and a muscle activation technique specialists, and I know how small mechanical details can have a significant impact on results gained from exercise. For example, she noticed how my foot would rotate as I was performing squats on the reformer. She suggested some exercises that worked the muscles of my foot. After these exercises squatting felt more stable. Also Love Boot Camp Class.
