Great service, friendly people and moderate prices. Enjoyed our Grandma-Mom-Granddaughter day out at this Day Spa with manicure/pedicure and chair massage. Highly recommend going here and we will return!
Great Service, Moderate Price! – I have been getting my nails done in Pgh for a long time, manis and pedis, sometimes with a fill and sometimes just au naturale so I know a good shop and this is one. I wouldn't do anything irregular at a nail salon like a bikini wax, eyebrow wax, leg wax, acupuncture, etc. because I would go to a salon or clinic that secialized in that.... but as far as nails go, this place is great
It's not the cheapest, no but it is clean, and affordable with fast service. ALL pedicures I've gotten here have had designs sans problem and they even put the gel nails on for me. Idk if some ppl go in not knowing what they want, or if there is a miscommunication factor because of the language difference but I have never come out of here upset with my nails, or broke and to me... that is a win! :)
ULTIMATE NAIL SPA – I LOVE THEM. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND MY NAILS ARE GET AND ARE VERY QUICK.
Horrible ! – In 25 years, worst experience at pedicure ever. Do not recommend even slightly. I had to show tech pedi techniques. Put me in a chair that didn't work at first, dirty floors, towels. Should have walked out, horrible doesn't even touch it.
Eyebrow Wax Gone Wrong – I can't decide if I got what I paid for, or if I shouldn't have paid at all ... I walked into Ultimate Nail Spa in the shopping plaza with Trader Joe’s in East Liberty and asked if they had an opening for an eyebrow wax. They took me within 5 minutes (only positive), however, the stench of chemicals was so strong while I waited that I considered leaving on that account alone (I wish I had listened to my intuition). When it was my turn, I was led to a spa pedicure chair when I got my waxing. The esthetician sat on the arm of the chair with my head cocked to one side to do the waxing. She did not wash her hands after the previous waxing (strike #2 ... why didn't I leave then??). I told her I didn't want the shape changed, that I only wanted a "clean up." At the end of the waxing after she poked my eyes several times (even after I said "Ouch you are poking my eyes"), my eyebrows were a different shape, and I looked like a raccoon from the burns around my eyebrows. Before I could finish looking in the hand mirror, she had moved to sit on the arm of the chair next to me and was already waxing away on the next customer (without washing her hands after finishing with me!!). I asked her for something to remove all the oil that was left on my forehead and said that the shape wasn't what I had asked for and she ignored me! I paid my full $8 (did I get what I paid for? ... that is pretty cheap compared to nice salons), and needless to say did not leave a tip. Everyone's free to make his or her own judgment on value/price, but I will not be returning. I would much rather pay $20 and not be put through this. Nonexistent customer service. I felt completely not listened too and like I was on an unsanitary eyebrow assembly line.
