Reviews for Bahn Thai Bistro

Great Food & Service – Let me start by saying that I have never tried Thai food before and this place had a lot of great reviews so I decided to try this place. It met all of my expectations. I love spicy food and I love that you can choose the level of spiciness on all foods.

I went with my boyfriend and we tried the combo appetizer which consisted of thai spring rolls, tod mun gai (Thai Chicken Cake), Thai fried wonton, and chicken satay. The spring rolls were amazing as were the wontons! I had never tried tod mun gai but it was very good. The consistency is similar to turkey sausage in my opinion but it was good and salty. The chicken satay was just ok. They serve this platter with three dipping sauces. I was not a fan of the peanut sauce but I think that is just because my palette may not be used to it. The sweet & sour and cucumber salad were both very good. They also bring out another tri-pod with three more sauces that include hot mustard (extremely hot, use with caution!), a spicy (which has the perfect amount of heat), and a sweet. The spicy mixed with the sweet went well with the spring rolls.

For my entree I ordered the pad nam prik pao (sweet chili) and chose spicy. My boyfriend got the Bahn Thai fried rice which he got spicy as well. He really liked it and it had a whole fried egg on top which was a little different but good. He said his was very spicy where I felt mine was just ok on the spicy level and I actually ended up adding a pepper spice that was on the table to mine. It added a lot of spice which I loved!!!

It was later in the evening and we chose to sit outside (the inside being really small is probably the biggest drawback). I read other reviews stating that the inside was small but it is really really tiny.

All and all I can not wait to go back to try more food. The service was amazing. I went on Sunday and they were not able to serve wine unfortunately, so I would like to go another day of the week so I can order drinks as well.
