Middle of the road tex-mex food in a pretty container..
This review is based on the salsa (very good), chips (tasted like storebought), guacamole (non-descript and very mild flavored), the Chile relleno pablano (stuffing was good, pepper was utterly uninteresting and supremely mild, more like a stuffed green pepper) the chicken and beef fajitas (both were fine, but no better than you might get at a "family pub" style restaurant), and the sopapilla with icecream (honey and cinnamon good, stale sopapilla was disappointing.)
Not bad food, especially for the price. The service was brisk and friendly. And the decorations and vibrant colors outstanding. But, I'd rather find a hole in the wall with more spice.
Best Mexican food I have had in Ohio!.
This place is great. I am originally from Tennessee where there is a very large Mexican population and the restaurants are fantastic. Moving here I missed those cheap delicious dinners. El Rodeo is just as good as the places I used to go to. Their salsa and chips are wonderful. The dinners are affordable, especially at lunch time. Lunch is even cheaper than eating out at fast food and a million times better. I reccomend the Enchiladas Supremas and the Chile Rellenos.
The waiters are attentive and very nice. The atmosphere is unique and colorful. I would recommend this place 110%!
