Save your money, go to IHOP for dinner – I must admit that I am not a normal restaurant review writer. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an upscale restaurant. As a long customer of the original mustang cafe, I was amazed to see such a poor execution on a beautifully crafted new facility in willow bend. To start, our waiter was clearly out of his element - he was unattentive and unskilled. On ordering our wine, we were presented with a vintage 3-years younger than the list (at the same price). Later, the food arrived cold and bland. The most amazing part was during the middle of our dinner (this was a 8PM on a Saturday night), they were more interested in running the vacuum cleaner upstairs in preparation for a big dallas cowboys event than serving their customers. I thought my meal was barely better than what I would get at an IHOP. If I had been paying IHOP prices, then all this would probably be OK, but for a place that charges $28.50 for an entree - it's simply unacceptable. Save your money and order a waffle at IHOP, it will be better, with better service and you will have enough left over to go to starbucks every day for a month.

continued! – So after 45 minutes or so I am famished and I look down at my plate... it looks small but OK. The waiter asks if there is anything else we need before he makes a hasty retreat. So I dive in.. only to find my fillet much tougher than it should be, cooked with improper heat and cooked completely unevenly...so I got from this, I guess maybe 6oz fillet, parts that were medium rare all the way to medium well! To add insult to injury the meat lacked flavor and completely void of seasoning! I say to myself "perhaps the veggies will make up for it". No such luck. They to were void of any seasoning and the very uncooked red onion overpowered the squash, zucchini and broccoli...as a matter of fact as I write this I still taste those onions.

As I look at my wife I realize she is enjoying her meal as little as I am. The tomatoes where almost a nice orange color some pieces still green and the flavor backed up their total unripe-ness. The chicken was dry and over cooked, a fact that I believe had been poorly camouflaged by the dusting of what appeared to be canned Parmesan dust!

So we pay and depart. Which should be the end of the story...but it is not! As we get up to leave the wife decides to stop and use the restroom. So I tell her I will meet her outside. As I head toward the egress I see the waiter now positioned at the host station, he says nothing, I exit.
