nice bar. Owner needs to stay away – This is a pretty good neighborhood bar. The owner needs to just let their staff do what they do. Not sure why he owns a bar. I came back in for the first time after a long while. I like that they have increased the menu. Good food
this bar could be so cool – Hard to get drinks from some of the bartenders others are OK. some of the staff just seems like they don't want to be there. I'm sure with they way the economy is that they could act more appreciated that they have jobs and be friendly to the customers.
Pretty Decent Local Bar/Club w/live music – There's not many places to go in the Gwinnett area, that I've found to simply go in for free & watch a live band or listen to a dee-jay. Sportsline is not spectacular but it's a place to go every once in a while & relax, like the neighborhood bar. You see a lot of "regulars" there.
The crowd is not ethnically as mixed as I would like but it's okay. In the front of the bar, there is a bar to sit at (my fav place) & some tables & chairs surrounding that area. There is a stage for live bands (mostly classic rock cover bands) and an occasional dee-jay. There is a reasonable size dance floor.
There is a back area where there are a few tables/chairs, a small bar & 4-6 pool tables. People are always back there playing pool. Generally the "younger crowd" stays back there.
The club allows you to smoke inside which is very rare in Gwinnett County so good for those who feel they must have a smoke with their drinks.
The crowd in the front part of the bar varies but is mostly over 45 yr old males with a few younger people and some couples.
The owner is a little rude but I've never seen him absolutely obnoxious. His wife is wonderful.
The bartenders are not the friendliest in the world but do okay.
Some of the food (grilled chicken sandwhich & hamburger with fries) are surprising good for a bar.
There are plenty of t.v.s at the bar viewing sports, news, etc.
Overall, it's a fairly decent place to go every once in a while to just get out of the house & not have to spend a lot of money or go far (if you live in Lawrenceville).
The Owner needs to rethink being in the restaraunt business!!! – The new owner is extremely unprofessionalin handling conflict. We've been there twice and have seen him become unglued and verbally abusive of customers both times. I have been going there off and on for a few years and will never return. I don't think anyone needs to listen to the owner of an establishment screaming expletives when they are trying to eat a meal and enjoy a ballgame. The rest of the staff was accomodating and friendly unlike the example they have to follow.
