Management has clearly changed! – I was desperate to find a 15-passenger van in the Atlanta area at a reasonable rate. This endeavor was MUCH more difficult than you would imagine!
I spoke with Mike at Enterprise and he gave me a great rate. It was significantly less than I had been quoted elsewhere. Mike went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with the agreement.
THEN, I went online and read some really bad reviews about this location from 2008 and 2009. Needless to say, I was concerned. I tried to find another van, but with no luck. So I called Mike back and expressed my concerns. He reassured me that I didn't need to worry--that he was the current manager, and the other reviews were before his time. Even though I still had some misgivings, I didn't have a lot of options, so I kept the reservation.
We went to pick up the van the next day. We did have to wait a while since we were there around lunch time, but I had expected it to take about an hour. We were there for about 45 minutes. Selena, who helped with the pick-up, was extremely personable and straightforward as she explained all of the ins and outs of renting a vehicle to us.
The van that we got was practically new. It was a pleasure to drive (it drove better than my SUV!) and was as clean as you'd expect any vehicle that regularly carries 10+ people to be.
Overall, I was extremely happy with this Enterprise location. It does sound like some sort of scam may have been going on there in the past, but let me assure you that nothing like that is happening now! Give them a chance--ask for Mike!
Worst Car Rental Agency – I had to do maintenance on my Nissan and it was a huge maintenance. Nissan had a complementary car rental included so they took me to this place and rented a truck for one day. I only drove that car for 10 miles that day. On the next day, I had made sure there was nothing wrong with the truck and went to return it, the person said there was a dent on the hood. I asked him where it was and he showed me it. I had to get really up close to see that it was barely dented. It was probably there before they handed me the car. Maybe he dented it himself. After a small argument, he still wanted me to pay $500 for them to fix something that a kid could fix. This was just a simple car rental for 1 day and they had to screw people over. Maybe it's because they aren't making any money, that's why they decide to screw customers over and get away with it. DO NOT ever rent cars from this company that tries to screw everyone over for something so small. Please don't let this happen to more customers!
Do NOT rent from this location!!!! – Tuesday, 8/26 I went to the Enterprise RentaCar location off of Peachtree Industrial to rent a car for a couple of days. The reason I picked this location is because my mom suggested that I go there because it was close to our house. She also rents an average 5/6 cars a month from this location. Joey was the person who greeted me at the front desk. When I got there they did NOT have a number of things. I asked for a full size car but they did not have one so they were going to give me a small SUV at the same price. The car was not ready and needed to be cleaned. The girl working rushed out and cleaned the car, a five minute clean does not really do much! When asked if I wanted the insurance I said, because the American Express card that I was using covered rental car. He question me a couple of times but I still declined. When we got out to the car I was told not to go far because the car was on EMPTY! (I returned it half full!) After doing the walk around the car the associate claimed that everything looked like normal wear and tear and that there was no damage to the vehicle. I did point out that there was a spill in the trunk, looked like coffee, that was not during the ladies five minute clean. I also found a couple of empty packs of cigarettes that were not thrown out! Needless to say I drove the lot off of the lot and went straight to the gas station. I dropped the car off on Friday night and left the keys in the overnight key drop. I received a call on Saturday morning saying that there was damage to the car hood but they were going to rent the car out to someone else. I didn't think that was fair but by law they said it was. I now seem to owe them $700 for a car that I did not damage. Not to mention in the pictures you can barely see anything! Not sure how you can help but I thought you should know! Please do not let this happen to more people!
