If you like being recorded without your knowledge – I use to work at Alre's some time ago. I definately agree with the previous review. The professionalism was horrifying. The person who was in charge knew it was chaotic. She use to tell me that "this is how it is in the corporate world". Which I know different now because I work in the corporate world now and have yet to experience the kind of unprofessionalism I did when I worked at this. The owner had all kinds of hidden cameras/microphones on the customers and staff. And believe me it wasn't just for safety purposes, he would sit and listen remotely and then call the salon with remarks and comments on what he would have eavesdropped on. The appearance of this salon is wonderful, but the morale and the spirit of this salon is full of mistrust, making it hard for them to keep any professional staff to include aesteticians, stylists, etc. I was only there for a short time and the turnover was so high, I would barely get to know a name before they decided to leave. So keep that in mind if you decide to go because the people this salon can retain are the bottom of the barrel, because they are not use to anything else.

Avoid This Salon – I went to Alre II on several occasions. The management and the lack of respect for the customers do not impress me. I was told on the phone that I could have my daughter?s twists; she?s 5, taken out for $20 and then a wash for $15, a total of $35. I was more than willing to pay that price since it saves me the time. When I got to the salon it turned into one big drama over a 5 year old?s hair. The receptionist said to take out the twist was $35 and it would be additional monies if I want more. I wasn?t going to pay more than the price I was told over the phone. The hair stylist who was the sweetest person went ahead and washed it for me, but could not dry her hair because of their policies. She really wanted to finish the job she had started. Another stylist was talking about me and my child to her customer, and the receptionist about how what she said over the phone could?ve been misinterpreted, and that I need to just put up my daughter?s hair in a ponytail. All this as I sat there looking at her. Needless to say, my 5 year old left with wet hair.

Do yourself a favor and spend your money where they?ll appreciate you as a customer.

Satisfied Customer – I visited the salon, for the first time, on last evening. I was very impressed by the ambiance and the knowledge the stylist had. I attended Alres II and was very satisfied. I can?t speak for Alres I!

I am very picky and had visited several celebrity based salons and I must say the atmoshere was more calm and inviting. I am a working professional who has time constraints and I was pleased that I was out in and out in 1. 5 hour (s).

The service I received was a layer cut and press and my hair felt extremely silky once I left. Give them a try! KUDOS to Princess, my new stylist!

Avoid at all cost – I usually have high tolerance & good patience. I just would like to start off with the staff & owner, who is very country and ghettofabulous and totally uninformed on professionalism. I went in for a consultation a year ago and supposedly was meeting with the best stylist in the shop. Unfortunately their best is anyone's worst. The consultation went ok, but when I went back for the appointment I was in the shop for 11 hours, waiting while the stylist took people in between my appointment. I was there for a sew-in, which normally takes about 4 hours at the most for a professional stylist. They have awful customer service considering the prices they charge and even that is a joke. They charge high-end prices and give low-end work & customer service. To sum it all up my hair looked like a child had done it, it was very choppy and the tracks had begin coming out the next day. When I went back the supposedly manager agreed that it was a bad job, but the owner refused to have someone redo my hair. Talk about bad business decision. Needless to say I know many people in the business and when I mention Alre's Hair Salon most stylist who have heard of it don't have positive things to say. For the most part I do not recommend anyone who cares anything about their hair to this salon.
