As a paying member I began working at 24seven as a personal trainer and was not pleased. After two weeks of training approximately 20 people I received no compensation per company policy. I quit yet still held a membership. I continued to workout at the Hinesville location after my employment ended even though it was awkward. I took on a workout partner. NOT a paying customer!!!! I was then harassed and treated unethically by the manager at this location. Texting my personal phone and calling. Mind you I haven't worked for him since the begging of December. He also texted and called the other member I was working out with. She was never an employee. He wanted us to know we were being watched and to stop working out together. He was pulling video feed and spying via the security system (creepy). I contacted or tried to contact someone who could address this matter. I spoke with two "managers" and then was rerouted to the brand new general manager (he got promoted an hour before I contacted him). When I finally did get ahold of him he seemed empathetic and acted as if this was wrong and would be handled appropriately. I wanted my membership canceled due to the hostile and uncomfortable environment now created by their MANAGER. He contacted me later this afternoon and said this employee/ manager was "sorry" and will not speak to or text me any more. He then informed me that I signed a contract and they are unwilling to let us cancel our membership. He wouldn't allow us to speak and when we did he said "this conversation is now over!" and hung up the phone on myself and my husband. I am appalled by this management team and advise people to NOT join this gym. I am now getting legal help to void my contract. What a joke. I advise everybody to be very aware and pay close attention to the contract you sign, they use used car salesmen tactics and have hidden fees. Unless you move far away, die or have a doctors note stating you can't workout, it's damn near impossible to get out of this deal with the Devil. There is also a $49/year maintenance fee involved and they bill through a 3rd party billing company who has no authority over your membership. There is nothing in the long drawn out contract that protects you from them only them from you or them losing your money. Ethical business is not their motto.

SCAD Students, Stay FAR FAR away from this place! I had a membership when I lived in Savannah several years ago. I used to go late at night after work. My debit card and several checks were stolen from the locker room. I belief it was a member of the cleaning crew who wrote checks for a Savannah State tuition payment from my account. If that was the only bad thing that happened at 24 hr fitness, I could probably forgive them. After I graduated, I moved back to Pennsylvania. I wrote them a letter with a utility bill when I returned home (as per their request) saying that I wanted to terminate my contract. These terms were specifically written into my contract, because I was a student and lived more than 30 miles away. I didn't hear from them, and assumed everything was in order. 6 months later I received a call from a collections agency saying that I owed 6 months payment. When I contacted 24 hr fitness, they said that because the letter I had sent 6 months prior was not certified, I had violated my contract and owed payments for the full 2 years of the contract (I had already attended the gym for a year and was paid up through the time that I canceled my contract). I contacted my lawyer and she instructed me to resend the letter via certified mail with detailed information showing that I had been living in Philadelphia for the past 6 months, bank statements showing the first year of payments, etc. I did this, and they refused my package. The collections agency stopped calling, but this is still an issue that I am trying to sort out on my credit report. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS GYM. They take advantage of students and should not be trusted. You hear about big name gyms doing this sort of thing, this is a personal account of a real person who was taken advantage by 24 hr fitness! STAY AWAY!

Do not join this gym. I have always lived downtown and toured the gym one day looking for a place while I was home for a month and needed a place to work out. It had old equipment but seemed very quiet so I paid a one month $40 fee, which seemed a fair price. (The actual price is $90 for a one month membership) About a week and a half after my membership the manager told me that my card would not longer work on the scanner for the door because they were getting a new system and took the card from me telling me he'd get me a new one after the holidays and would be available to let me in. One Friday night he was not there and a woman let me in and told me she couldn't unless I was a member and I said I was and she proceeded to tell me that the manager had been fired for letting people without a membership use the facilities as well as discrepancies with money. I left and immediately called all gym locations and left a message at one as well as the 1800 number provided. I called from Friday night until Monday at every location and on the area managers phone number until I finally got a hold of one employee who referred me again to the area manager. Explaining I paid in cash and had my card taken the only proof of membership I would have would be my contract I signed when joining the gym. I had to call back today to the same employee who told me they could not honor my membership, never mentioned attempting to look up the contract just that my name was not on their member list, and that if I wished to validate my membership then I should attempt to contact the manager they fired. Trying to explain to her that me contacting a former employee was not what I wished to do or deserved to do after obviously being taken advantage of she gave me the general manager's phone number who also never answered. Overall my money was obviously pocketed and my card taken and I never was able to speak to a manager after calling each facility and the cell phone numbers given to me. This company is not friendly or professional and do not care about their members. They did not offer me any consolation or apology for blatantly being ripped off or honored the fact I was a friendly member just attempting to fix my membership. If you are looking for a gym I'd go elsewhere because this gym only honored me as a member for two weeks, as well as never addressed the fact they had hired someone who scammed members.

We'll see...hopefully the issue can be resolved – I am giving three stars, and hopefully I can give more soon, but we'll see.  The staff is very nice, and every one I have dealt with personally is very nice.  I signed a 3 year contract on June 15, 2010 because I was told the monthly charge would be $24, significantly less than than the fee for the 1 year contract. I told the girl I signed up with that I would for sure be moving out of state in less than a year.  She said there is a $75 cancellation fee, so when you average that out over 12 months it still makes your monthly dues cheaper than signing a 1 year contract.  Maybe I'm a sucker, but I believed her and went ahead and signed the 3 year contract.  She assured me that they were used to dealing with military and that they deal with cancellations all the time that run smoothly. I paid my first years membership in full, $288 + a $49 sign up fee.  On April 1, 2011 I moved to Alabama and needed to cancel my account.  I was told to go to the ASF website and print off a form, fill it out, and send it in with proof of my new address and the $75 cancellation fee. The website recommended calling in 30 days to confirm cancellation of the account and that I was responsible for dues until I made sure the cancellation had gone through.  Well, around the first of June I called to confirm the cancellation.  A girl from the office in the mall looked up my account and told me the account had successfully been cancelled due to relocation.  I asked if there was anything else I needed to do and I was told no.  Please keep in mind that I submitted a form to have my mail forwarded to my new address and have received my forwarded mail from my old address since April 1, 2011.  Continue...

So sad! – WORD OF MOUTH! That is indeed the best form of advertising. Not many reviews here. However, the fact that ALL the reviews from actual customers are completely negative and the only reviews that have any positive rating at all were submitted by the club is ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC! Everybody CAN

public beware – Run away fast if your thinking of signing a contract with this gym. Read the past reviews, doesn't matter what location all have horrible reviews.



We were a member at the richmond hill location, I am in the military and came down on orders to PCS. I went in and gave them a copy of my orders to cancel membership (per the military clause) and thought all was taken care of. Then i noticed continued monthly gym fee charges on my bank account and called the gym. Of course no one answered, left mulitple messages. Nobody called me back until the 10 message. Their excuse; wait for it...can't find my orders that I brought in to terminate the membership! Now I've already moved and can't physically come in to provide another copy, their fax machine doesn't work, and no email! what? who in this day and age don't have access to email! When a manager does finally call me back, he doesn't mention anything about not having my orders but states that it takes a month after termination for the gym fee to stop being charged. I asked why? He says thats the way the system works? They are sleezy, unprofessional, and habitual liars. Do not give them your bank account number.

24 seven nightmare – i agree with all the reviews on here this gym is horrible now granted i like being able to work out when ever i like to no matter the time. this place takes money when they want to i had to close my bank account just so they wouldnt take anymore money out my account it was a total rip off its not worth being able to work out when ever. i hope that no one joins this gym cause this place will over draw your account stay away from this gym is my advice.

Contract terror – I wish there was a way to give a negative rating on the way these contracts are handled.We did what we were required to do at the end of our contract and they are still taking money out .And the people we are forced to talk to are very nasty.I just sent a very long complaint to the BBB. Beware general public, this is a nightmare.

Hard to Get Out of Contract – In June 2008 I signed up for a two year membership. In early August I found out I was expecting. Due to my pregnancy being high-risk, I was not able to work out. I went to the gym and spoke with the guy I signed up with and explained my situation. Was basically told there was nothing I could do and would still have to pay the monthly premium. So long story short, I had to pay for two years for something I used for a month and a half. Very disappointing. :(

public announcement – Just joined this gym two months ago. Since then they have charged my account double for both months, stating they will correct it. Have not yet and have not gotten back in touch with me. I joined because of the 24 hour access which is anything but that. I can only get in when the staff is their and I have to ring the doorbell. My key card never works even when the so call fix it. They signed me up for two memberships, one with my last name first and the other with my first name last. Then told me to get a print out of my bank statement so they could see if I was telling the truth about the duplicate payment. So, I go home and come back and they tell me I was right just to waste my time. Majority of the staff is incompetent. I would advise all not to get involved with this gym.
