HORRIBLE. The worst restaurant experience EVERY in my LIFE! First off, the "server" that we had was probably one of the owners or a family member who took care of her own family/friends a table of 3 instead of the other 3 tables in the place. She took about 10 mins to greet our table, another 10 to get our order even though we were ready to order in about 3 mins.

We ordered the phad thai and the something else, the phad thai was the worst EVER, it tasted like cheap sweet and sour sauce of noodles, it was soo thick and it didn't have any peanuts or any trace of what phad thai should look like. We barely even touched it since it was so nasty.

About half way through our meal we were out of water because the food was so thick and lumpy and just overall gross but the server was busy talking to her family. We were waiting to pay with our credit card but after waiting another 10 mins or more while the server sat at the table with her family and talked and gossiped some more, we decided just to pay with cash and walk out. The bill was $34 for the two of us, since we had to get some rice to even try to fill ourselves up.

NEVER EVER going back again. I bet some of the reviews are from family members of the restaurant. I recommend going else where, a lot of other major restaurants are able to accommodate for vegans.

Great food - absolutely wonderful service!. After visiting the Teapot I decided to finally become a vegetarian. The food here was fanastic. I am very impressed with the presentation details and care put into the production of each dish. The staff is wonderful, they brought me extra sauces without me asking, because she saw me dipping my veggies around my plate to get more sauce. That is service. Even the presentation of our to-go boxes was done with care.

Delicious Vegetarian Food in both Seattle and Redmond. The teapot has been my favorite restaurant for years. They have great, filling food and it's served family style with portions large enough for several to try. If you are just a small group, ordering one dish each would be plenty to share and you would surely have enough to take home. I love their Mushroom Yaki Udon, Mandarin Crispy Tofu and Smoked Salmon (very authentic).

Please don't let the one bad review keep you from enjoying the Teapot. It's not ok to blame restaurant staff for a situation where the customer should take personal responsibility for their irresponsibility. Also having an understanding of cultural differences and having tolerance in a situation where you are 'visiting' another culture (a Asian restaurant w/ Asian staff) would be the wisest thing. :-)

Vegetarian variety, be prepared for some sass if you have a big appetite.. There aren't a lot of vegetarian places out there. Teapot goes one better and is vegan so safe for most all non-animal eaters. There's a wide variety of dishes; many are trying to be fake meat but are good in their own right. Careful though, many dishes here remind you that meat-free doesn't necessarily mean low fat. They use a lot of non-dairy creamer back in the kitchen, and you know how much saturated fat is in that.

Service is a little spotty- language can be a problem with some servers but not insurmountable. But here's my main gripe. Almost every time we've been there, the server makes some remark along the lines of "that's a lot of food" when we are done ordering. And it's usually said not as a caution like "maybe you don't realize how big our dishes are" but more like "you sure you need that much food, fatso?"

Well duh, we know the portions are large, we eat here often. We happen to like variety and taking home lots of leftovers so we don't have to cook for a few days. So lighten up and stop trying to turn away business!

Good food but overpriced. We eat here sometimes because it's the only vegetarian place nearby. I have one child that doesn't eat meat. She loves the Rose Chicken but at $12 for a plate of 6 - 8 "wings" it's too much to pay. I would recommend they lower the price to $6 - $8. I can only afford to take her here on her birthday. The last server we had couldn't speak english and that was a small problem with a few questions we had. Every time we have been there on a weekday it's been empty. They have great, unique food, it's too bad it's so overpriced, otherwise we would go more often.
