Really watch your pets with Next to Nature’s toy.. I used to shop there very week. As long as you are giving them money they are great. If you have a problem with a product expect to be treated rudely. Several stores in Seattle and the Eastside have the same products for less money. Next to Nature’s quality of products are inferior to even PetSmarts. My dog almost chocked to death on a toy they sold us. Their staff was unsympathetic and refused to take the toy back. Their staff does not appear to be dog lovers. The staff blamed my dog for their inferior product. The assistant manager stated the manager would call me and of course she never did. I now shop elsewhere. Good luck and really watch your pets with Next to Nature’s toy.

High prices and poor quality of products and poor customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE. They do not care about recommending quality products for your pets, but will instead recommend the products that cost the most amount of money.

I visited the Next to Nature in Edmonds for the purpose of finding a heavy duty toy that my dog would not chew through. I asked one of the ladies at the counter for some recommendations of toys that would withstand a heavy chewing puppy. The toys she pointed out to me where the most expensive toys in the store, but she said they would hold up to the chewing so I thought they would be worth the money. I took them home and within five minutes my dog had chewed through them. I took them back to the store the next day to return them and they said they don?t take returns. These toys are a hazard to our dog and should never have been recommended for dog. The lady who refused to let me return them actually told me that they are normally not recommended for a dog that is a chewer, but then would take no ownership of the fellow employee?s recommendation. I would have accepted the no return policy if someone would have at least acknowledged that I had been given a horrible recommendation and that the employee would be better trained so that some else would not fail victim to the same inadequate service. But I did not get that, so I am recommending that others do not shop here so they don?t have a similar experience to mine.

I also submitted a complaint to the corporate office about two weeks ago and have still received no response.
