SO-So Salon – Couldn't get to my regular shop for a manicure/

pedicure in Southcenter & saw thid place coming out of a store. It's a very typical small shop.

Good points are lots of parking, no strong smells and they take walk-ins. My mani was pretty average but my pedi was poor. I had to ask for warmer waters, got no foot massage, the loofah didn't slough or smooth, she didn't trim and/or shape the nails and she left some polish on toes. The worst thing - her hitting my calves with her fists! I told her to stop it! The warm towel around my calves was good :) There was also no drying aerosol. Their price is also high for the service and area.

I won't go back & don't recommend the place.

There's a better shop - Find It! – It's a typical little shop in the middle of Federal Way. It's easy to find, accessible and has lots of parking. They take appts or walk-ins. Compared to other shops within walking distance or less than a 3 minute drive, their prices are high and service is barely adequete.

Went in for a pedicure over the July 4th weekend. The woman was nice. The water was luke warm and had less than a 5 mins soak before she starting working. I had a lot of rough & dry skin and thought she'd shave it but only used a pumice but not for very long and only on my heels. The massage was really short. She massaged my calfs but not my feet. What bothered me is the thumping with her fists against my calfs. It almost felt like I was being hit with a baseball :( I've never had that done at any other salon! I was unable to find the benefits of the thumping on the internet and my usual salon had no idea either! I was thankful that was short! I brought my own polish. She did ok but left polish on some of my toes. She asked if I wanted something on my toe. I said yes, a BIG flower. I got some flair lines and a little flower. When she said $30, I was surprised. YES, their prices are posted but I went by my experiences at other local salons.

Overall, for the 35 minute visit, it was barely adequate and over priced. I won't go back or recommend but will tell people not to go! There's other shops close by that do a better job at a lower price.
