OLYMPUS IN LYNNWOOD ROCKS !!!!!!! – I have been going to Olympus, first the one in Tacoma and now the one in Lynnwood since they opened. It is the best spa I have ever been to including the expensive ones in Las Vegas ! They are the Best value and cleanest and best food of any of them!
I read another review about Deborah and I am shocked! She has been the manager for years and is the nicest ,warmest person ever!! Clearly this person was having a bad day! Deborah is always professional and super hard working... She has a hard job and maybe this person really doesnt know what she is dealing with ... I think she is jumping to some wrong conclusions! I have been to Olympus HUNDREDS of times and have always been treated kindly and generously ... I am in the beauty business as well and truly understand how difficult it must be to run this huge place! OLYMPUS ROCKS!! go yourself and check it out !! you will be very glad you did!!
not too shabby for a day spa – So, I've been hearing all sorts of things about this spa including the free entry on your birthday, and I decided to wait for my birthday to check out the place out and save myself $35. I had a little hard time finding the spa and got a little lost along the way, but shortly found my way after calling for directions. As soon as I got there, I walked in and saw it was a little busy in the lobby area. I waited to check in and as I was waiting, one of the receptionist or maybe she was the manager (she was a little older with a heavy accent than the girls in the front) asked if anybody was there for the first time. I raised my hand letting them know that I was there for the first time and she told me that they would take me on a tour of the spa since they were taking other ladies. Being a little confused, she told me to take my shoes off, and as I did I followed the lady along with other two ladies that were there for the first time. She had a strong accent, but it didn't stop me from understanding her and through out the tour, I found her very kind and even humorous and comfortable like i made the right choice in going in the first place. Although I didn't catch her name, I felt very at ease and even ended up signing up for a service. She was very helpful and made my first experience at the spa wonderful! I'm looking forward to my next trip at the korean day spa!
DEBORAH THE KOREAN GIRL IS THE CRAZIEST PERSON I MET – I came in and this lady gave me a tour...I couldnt understand what she was saying the whole time...She was extremely rude to me when i would ask questions...She came in yelling in the pool area for people to be quiet...After my experience i had asked to speak the a manager and she claimed she was the manager....One of the receptionists was fighting with her while i was in the waiting room area as Deborah kept yelling at her and the gal was crying.Overall PSYCHO experience. DO NOT GO HERE!
lotion to die for – I have loved Olympus spa and have had great scrubs!!!!!!! and wraps!!!!! But this last time, after I had gotten quite relaxed with a scrub early in the day and the a facial later at 4 pm. I started feeling not myself. I had appointment to get to, but was able to get to my firends house before the appointment and take a showertp get the creams off myself because I felt so bad. I felt like someone had beat me up and my skin was on fire. I took 2 Benadryl and still had a raging headache which I had not had before. I was in for the night crying and did not make my appointment. The facial had put more than 7 different creams on me. I don't know which one could of given me such a reaction. I even had welts on my scalp where lotion was rubbed in. The next day I contacted the manager of Olympus and she was only able to say she was sorry that this happened. It ruined my appointment, made me not feel relaxed, and scared me and my friends due to this disapointing/scary relaxing day I had come for.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE – I scheduled an 80 minute massage for my wife for Mother's Day today at noon and paid for it over the phone and of course the took the money out immediately however when my wife gets there today for her appt they said they never had anything schedule and said sorry and sent her on her way. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST AND $35 JUST TO SPEND THE DAY AT THE SPA COME ON...DO NOT GO HERE
No matter how great the facility employee attitude sets the – Clean, attractive facility with unique features such as the heat therapy rooms. Wish it was swimsuit optional. Personal interaction as well as observation revealed that overall employee attitude is that they do not care if you had a good experience or not. (Beginning at the front desk where they can ignore you when you are standing directly in front of them) . Disgruntled vibe and plenty of frowns on staff. Maybe the employees could take a break in the charcoal room and then watch a video on how to smile.
Great spa for men – I went here kind of on a lark, and they had great rates, $20 for a day of lounging around in the baths, swimming and unwinding. I didn't actually get a massage, but I heard that was nice.
Love the spa ~ but if service poor walk out! – One tip for Olympus clients – if your service is sub-par WALK OUT, talking with a manager after will do nothing to correct the issue.
Olympus Spa has been such a treasured escape for me since a friend introduced me about 5 years ago. At the end of a long week the calm baths, delicious food, healing rooms all give me just what I need.
I have had some of the services at the spa, and enjoyed most of them. I have had a couple fabulous massages, and some that were fine, not great. However, Thursday night I went after a physically and mentally exhausting 3 weeks of non-stop labor/work. I booked a massage and asked for depth, feet and hands mostly. When the therapist and I first went to the room and she asked, I again said “deep, focusing on feet and hands- and some mid-back and neck would be great, but mostly feet and hands”. She never touched my feet. Not at all. I’d complain about the lack of value in her hand massage, but at least she touched them. (Then she lied to her manager and told her she started with me feet….think I would have noticed). She spent 10 minutes doing fluffy rubs on my legs, I checked the clock. I asked her for some depth SEVEN times, and it truly felt like the hands of a 4 year old were working on me. I know I like deep work, but the fascia wasn’t even aware I was getting a massage, I promise. I could go on – but you get the idea. Her neck work was actually reasonable (nothing you’d go back for, but not a total waste) and thankfully she ended with that.
After, I went directly to the front to let them know I was really dissatisfied with the treatment. The manager’s response was “Well I know my legs get tired when I work hard…” and tell me WHY the therapist may have spent so long on the ONE body part I didn’t even mention. She told me “the foot massage is a specific treatment” which the person did not say when I called and asked specifically for feet and depth, nor did the person at the desk when I said the same thing, or the massage therapist. I told the manager how much of a challenge it is for me to spend $70 on a massage and how much my body needed it. She simply said she’d have to get “both sides of the story” and get back to me. When she came back she told me the lie that the massage started with my feet, and basically told me what I should have needed from a massage, no regard for what I specifically asked for – multiple times. She also told me – get this – that “at the end of the day they may be tired so you shouldn’t expect as good of a massage. You should come in the morning when they are not tired.” Are you KIDDING me? This is customer service? She did give me a pass for a free entry for $25 which is good for a couple more weeks of September.
I will go back. I may even try services again some time. However, if they even seem to be sub-par I am WALKING OUT right away, my only hopes of not losing the money or the hour.
I must say, the girl running the front desk was the friendliest and most conscientious I have ever experienced there. The food was delicious as always. The salon was clean and lovely, as always.
The best spa yet – I booked the signature facial for my first time at the spa. I was a little uneasy about the no bathing suit rule for the therapeutic pools so I thought I'd try a facial for my first time. Once I got there I got a tour of the spa and immediately wished I had booked more services. The atmosphere was professional and the lack of clothing was not a problem. My facial was fantastic, the products used smelled wonderful and my skin felt great. The facial also included a hand, foot, and scalp massage. The only downside was that I wanted to purchase some of these products on my way out and there was not a good selection available for purchase. Aside from that minor issue I can't wait to go back!
Unwind at the Olympus Spa – My skin has never felt so soft as it did after the Body Scrub and Body Moisturizing Treatment. My teaching partner and I went to unwind and boy did we. Leave enough time to soak for an hour before any treatment, use the hot rooms (love the Hot Jade room) and eat at the yummy bistro.
