Skeptical – First of all, let me said that I was skeptical about doing business with Mor especially after reading your reviews.
However, my girlfriend had bought a kitchen table from Mors and she didn't have any problems. My son and I went to Mors. We were greeted as we came into the door and a few minutes later a man name James came over to help us. He was fantastic , he didn't pressure us, he asks us if we wanted some refreshments just a real nice guys. I really like that he came back to check on us not asking any questions just looking to see if we had any questions. I like that because some stores really pressure you but James was the best . My son and I stayed for a couple of hours looking at furniture and I decided to buy a table. However, my son was undecided, but he came back the next day and saw James again and he ask about me (i thought that was nice to remember your customers ) James check us out and I told him that I was skeptical about coming to Mors because the company had a bad rap. He didn't denied it but instead embrace the negatively and stated that they try to do their best. I told him that I would like to have my furniture deliver the day he promise and if I didn't I was going to write a very bad review. We laugh, and my son and I left. A couple of days later Mors call me 3 times but I kept missing their calls. I return the call and the lady told me that they would be at my house between 12-4 PM. Do you know what time they got there? Well, let me tell you 12:00 on the dot. I was shock and they were so nice. In addition, a lady call me afterwards to s ee how the delivery went, and I told her fabulous the only complaint I had was that my son went back and bought a couch and the delievery charge was $150.00 and she told me that was because the furniture was going to diferent rooms. I explained to her that the furniture was going to the same house and I thought the delivery charge was extremely high. She stated that she couldn't do anything about the fee, and she thank me and told me to have a nice day! I know your complains are valid maybe they are under new management or something but we are very happy with the service we received .Therefore, I would like to award " The Way to go Award" Mor Furniture and keep up the good work.
WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER – 1. If you ever wondered where all the ex-car salesmen went, it's here. The salesmen lie to you and do whatever they have to to get their "quota". tHE SALESMAN TOLD ME ABOUT THE QUOTA SYSTEM.
2. Had to return an item that was purchased because of the poor quality. My salesman never returned my calls, so after 3 days I went to the store. After about 30 minutes of getting the run around, I finally explained the situation to the sales manager. He basically called me a liar. Finally after checking with his employees a refund was going to be issued in 10 to 15 days. So we will see.
3. You could not get me to step foot inside this store again enen if everything was on sale for a penny. The absolute worst shopping experience of my life

I read all the other reviews after having made our purchase of a living room set. Sofa, two chairs and two ottomans. My first thought after reading the reviews was "oh no, did we make a mistake!!" The furniture we purchased was not the most expensive we've ever purchased, far from it. But we have in the past bought very expensive furniture from top rated stores only to be dissapointed with the durability and comfort of the pieces after a few short years. So purchasing this less costly furniture isn't a concern. If it doesn't turn out well then at least we're not out thousands like in the past. Now, the purchasing experience of the furniture in the showroom was excellent. The salesperson greeted us, explained the pricing policies and except to check with us to see how we were doing was not pushy or demanding,but very helpful. We decided on the furniture we wanted and the final purchasing process was smooth and pleasent. No pressure and all our questions were answered. We were told that we would need to wait 12 days for the furniture to be shipped in and then notified of scheduling a delivery. They called on day twelve, we scheduled delivery for the next day between 12 and 4 PM. The delivery guys arrived the next day at 11:50 AM. Helped with moving some small pieces in the room to make space for the new stuff. Brought in the new, set it up and positioned into place as we requested. Excellent experience and the delivery guys were very pleasant. Others may have had problems and nightmares with their experience with Mor Furniture, we didn't. Everything was done just as they said it would be. We are pleased.
MOR furniture for less should be MOR hassles – Similar experience like the other postings regarding sales people. They follow you around like a lost puppy. I purchased a sectional sofa and a cabinet. The sofa came as promised, yet they called and said the cabinet would be delivered a week later since it had been damaged in the warehouse and they were expecting another shipment. In talking with them, I was informed that was bad information and the cabinet would be delivered with the sofa. Well, both pieces came and the cabinet was damaged......the delivery guy informed me that the could send out a repair technician, and I declined. A customer service person called to check on the delivery and I explained the situation and they informed me that a new piece would be out the following week. That week came and the cabinet was delivered. Upon inspection, I noticed that it was the same cabinet as the week before that they repaired (tried)!!! Talk about insulting! So back on the phone with customer service. Now I'm scheduled again for next week....to date they have offered $200 credit. Will see if they come through.
go here if you love to deal with hassles, lies, mix ups, wasted time and horrible customer service – If you can tolerate everything mentioned in the headline to save a quick buck, then come to mor furniture for less, where the salespeople are qualified to give you the bullsh!t you want to hear to string you along for weeks until you finally get the products you want! --that should be in one of their tv commercials!
Most horrible experience ever....i purchased a bedroom set and i got it 6 weeks later...i had to take 3 vacation days off because of incompetence and delivery mix-ups.
when you go in to buy you'll see a great selection and pretty good prices. but just keep in mind that you may have to go through a storm of issues and many weeks before you finally get what you want.
their salespeople have very high turnover...not a good sign.
Mor – Purchased a new mattress and box spring. Had delivered to home, mattress has a thunking and spring sound when lying on it. Egde of box spring broken. When I called to have it switched for a new set, they refused and sent out a packet of forms I had to fill out for warranty. Its a six page questionaire and you must include pictures of the mattress, which you mail to them. When they recieve the packet they will then contact you to let you know weather the damages, bad mattress will be replaced. Did I mention numerous customer service staff advised me there is no return policy! Don't buy from them you will be sorry!
Worst retail experience of my entire life – Worst retail experience of my life.
Round 1: In March 2007 two hillbillies delivered a dirty couch and couldn't fit it in our door (they didn't even measure first). On top of that, they were swearing and demanding our help in carrying it...remind me why I paid $80 for delivery??
Round 2: We went and picked out a different couch that they were sure would fit. We paid for the first couch with our check card and they wouldn't let us have store credit toward the new couch (are they crazy?) Instead they had to issue a refund which we were promised would be back in our bank account within 3-5 business days (if they tell you it takes longer, they are lying...I got to the bottom of it when I got in touch with their accounting department). They forgot to put in the request, so I had to spend hours on the phone explaining what had happened to ensure we got our refund. On top of that, they were extremely rude and inconsiderate.
Round 3: They attempted to deliver our new couch in April 2007. Not only did they forget to measure before halling it up 4 flights of stairs, but after it didn't fit they caused $900 worth of damage to the walls in the stairwell of the condo building and we had to pay for it! When confronting them about the damage (we took pictures and had a copy of the invoice), they transferred us around to different people and refused to deal with the situation.
Now: We are taking them to small claims since they refused to pay for the damages they caused. Not only do we have no couch, we are out amost $1000 because of them.
It's funny b/c they called themseleves the "Costco" of furniture stores...if only they could treat their customers like Costco does...
good selection and prices but furniture delivery and warranty situation – Mor has a large selection of furniture. They have higher quality for a given price than any other furniture store I have been in in the Tukwila area (and I have been through quite a few.) If you're trying to save money and willing to put up with a lot of hassle to do it, this is the place for you.
I have two major problems with this furniture store.
1.) Once you have received furniture, you cannot return it for any reason. They do not even have a written guarantee to take back furniture that is received damaged. I was told verbally that damaged furniture would be accepted back but received no written guarantee. Their policies are designed to screw the customer and protect themselves. This is in stark contrast to some other smaller furniture businesses.
2.) The delivery situation is ridiculous. If you can't pick up your own furniture, you are in for trouble. You will be asked to name a delivery date 3 weeks in advance. (Waits of 3 weeks or more were the norm in my case.) 1 - 2 days before the date, you will receive and electronic call (not a real person) informing you of what day your furniture is to be delivered. Then you will receive a second call a day later (also from a machine) informing you of the time window. You are not given any input whatsoever into that time. If the time is acceptable you must call back and confirm the window. If you happen to not have your phone with you and don't call back quickly enough, you will lose the window. If you must reschedule, your delivery will be delayed at least 10 days. Again, you will only be able to pick a new day; the time will be chosen for you.
Delivery windows are 4 hours - any time of day - and they informed me I should allocate at least 6 because often deliveries are hours late.
