Tried it Many Times, but Never Impressed – As a frequent West Seattle coffee drinker, I would like to share my experience about Revolution Coffee.
Let me start by saying that I have given this coffee shop many chances to win me over. I received a gift card for the holidays and though I would give it yet another, so I tried the americano a few times and was unimpressed each time because of the taste of the coffee. I would describe it as lacking taste and very bitter. It was also prepared way too hot. In addition the cups used did not protect against the heat of the coffee and the defective lid allowed for the scaulding hot coffee to spill all over my hand and in my cars cup holder.
The service I received each time was okay but whoever heard of a real coffee shop that doesn't make their own whipped cream? There are even items on the menu that can only be made with heavy whipping cream.
This place is also not open early enough and often shuts down for no apparent reason during already short operating hours. I understand that it was recently purchased from a new owner and that times my be tough, but how can you make money if you are not open?
I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I will keep trying in hopes that things will change because I want to see local business flourish.
Great Coffee. Great Art. – Revolution offers an atmosphere of independent thinking, great tasting coffee and an ever changing artistic landscape. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was thoroughly impressed with the theme and the anti-corporate environment.
They have cute baristas too. That's always a plus. Not only are they cute, but they're always open to conversation and engage customers.
Oh! And free wifi and computer usage with purchase.
Bad location, but great coffee – Been here several times, whether going to get my shoes cleaned or get my nails down in the admiral neighborhood. I've never seen another soul in this coffee place, but like to patronize the small business owner vs. starbucks. Really good coffee with no long lines at this hole in the wall. Poor real estate location and I've never seen any marketing, so makes sense why this place isn't busier. However, l'd suggest it to anybody who wants a good latte. :)
