food tastes like back home – I was pleasantly surprised to find this place after giving up on finding any quality Italian food in Seattle. The sandwiches are quality and the atmosphere is layed back. If you need a bit more gravy with your stromboli, just ask. These folks take pride in their food and your satisfaction. It aint quite as good as being back in Brooklyn,,,but,,, its like having a little piece of Brooklyn in my backyard...

Keep up the good work folks!

Where the magic is in Shoreline – Like their website says: "For you west coasters, a grinder is NOT a coffee shop, a strip joint, and we certainly will not grind your tree stump."

Now that we have cleared that up, pop in for some fresh, hot grinders that will take your breath away. When first walking in - don't be discouraged if there isn't a place to sit. The large tables are meant for you to sit down with your "new friends", eat and be merry!

Offering a variety of beer, wine, tea, pop and yes water to go with your flavorful, meaty grinder. Every grinder has been mastered to perfection with each meat, cheese, sauce, spices and bread meshing together to form a mini Mardi Gras in your mouth.

Don't want a grinder? No worries! They offer a very delicious Whack Whack salad that will feed you into next Tuesday and vegetarians must not fret. Their house salad is delectable and each salad comes with two slices of very buttery, garlic bread.

Don't forget to save a little room for the homemade tiramisu and if you get lucky, there might be a special somthin' somthin' cooking in the back kitchen. But you have to ask.

Serious Magic Happening here – We walked by this place and it never seemed open. One day we were lucky... this shiz is gourmet GOLD.

Fresh as fresh can be. You're REAL lucky if the owner makes your grinder or what have you. Superb wine and beer selection. They have cool live bands some nights. Great smoochy date location (yeah... get food on your face its fun) Nice tables and atmosphere in the corner for groups of friends.

Outstanding Stromboli – The Owner was there and told us the meatballs, sauces etc were cooked that morning. He was obviously telling the truth. Truly outstanding grinders. We also split a salad. It too was buge, fresh and yummy. Nice waitstaff and cool environment. Don't let the exterior or Aurora location fool you. Grinders is worth the drive from anywhere.

THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! – This is the best sandwich shop around. It is a gastronomical feast coming here, and we havent tried a sandwich we didn't love. I wish it was a little cheaper and I would eat there every day, but it is the best treat around. But its not too bad considering everything is more expensive in this area. The veggie sandwich and shrimp po boy are the bomb! Great place to take visitors as it is impossible not to be impressed by this place! I love seeing a restaurant where the owner has a real passion for great food, and doesnt skimp on the good stuff!!

Best Sandwich you've EVER had!!! – I had almost given up finding this place open, but I found their site and found out I had just picked the wrong days every time. Luckily I did try one more time, and Holy Cow!

Had the Catfish Po Boy, and the Pulled Pork Barbeque, and not only is there enough food there for a couple of days, but I don't want to eat anything else, because I don't want to spoil the amazing taste in my mouth, and that's just from the cold sandwiches I nibbled on this morning from the fridge as I ran out the door.

I can't say I've ever had better food on or off a delicious buttery Italian roll, and if you saw me, you would know I have a LOT of experience in that dept.

Great music playing, good beers in the fridge, I'll be Back! Probably today....

Most fun we've had in years! – This place is the real deal: Owners Mitch and his glamorous Mother have brought the East Coast west. Superb food, outstanding music, lively crowd, terrific staff, cover charge reasonable (Saturday night music). The place is small, so they insist on reservations for the Saturday night music. The night we went (5/10/08) a jazz/blues group called Annette Taborn and Curley Cooke played. They totally rocked the place! Other musicians came up at times to jam with them -- saxiphonist, harmonica player, another guitar player. Some people got up and were dancing, too. The place was packed full. We haven't had that much fun in years. And the food was great -- huge, delicious, hot grinder sandwiches served on big plates. We had to eat them with knives and forks, and take the rest home. It is a breath of fresh air to finally have a viable nightclub-ish option in the north end. They're open for regular service, both eat-in and take-out, from Wednesday to Saturday. We can't wait to go again.

Best sandwich in the world – This is THE best sandwich you've ever had...I promise

Worth the drive, I don't care where you live, the people are great and helpful, the sandwiches are so full you have to use a fork, and the atmosphere is fun despite the Aurora address. Go, buy, eat, enjoy, seriously, these sandwiches are indescribable, they're 'cooking' instead of 'assembling' which most sandwhiches, even grilled ones, are.
