Unprofessional, unreliable, frustrating – I really wish I had read some reviews about this place before going here, but I didn't. I am now seeing that many people are relatively unhappy with this place, and for good reason. More than a year after my experience with Alibi, I still upset about it.
I originally worked with Brynn (I don't think she works there any longer) on a piece that I had drawn myself. In terms of customer service, I would rate this first experience a 2. Brynn was very friendly, but for the outline visit AND for the coloring visit I was waiting up front for nearly an hour on both occasions...and the shop only had one other customer in it! Come on, are you kidding me?
In terms of the tattoo itself, Brynn did a great job with the coloring/shading, but the outline was a little shaky in a couple areas and I had to get it retouched by another artist at a different shop later on. I would probably rate the tattoo experience a 3 -- mediocre at best.
Later on, I decided that I wanted to expand the piece. I came in and spoke with Brynn about this, and she had me put money down for her to draw up a sketch for me. She told me it would be ready by the end of the week. That Friday, I came in to take a look at it, and she told me she still had not finished it yet. I asked to take a look at what she had so far, but she admitted that she had not even started on it, but then she told me she would definitely have it done by the next week. I came in at the date and time she asked me to, and it still wasn't finished (or even started, as far as I know) -- and she wasn't even there for our scheduled meeting!
At this point, Jeremy told me that he would take over for her since I had put money down and everything. He assured me that Brynn was just an unreliable employee, and told me he would get it done for me. Well, guess what? SAME EXPERIENCE with Jeremy. I came in TWICE at the scheduled date & time to see the sketches, but both times I came in, not even a rough sketch had been done. Finally, the second time I came in to see my sketches (really the fourth time if your count the times with Brynn), Jeremy told me he could just sketch it on my skin with Sharpie right then and there. HELL NO! I didn't put $50 down and come in four different times for someone to do a freehand tattoo on my skin! I shared this frustration with Jeremy and he assured me that if I gave him one more change (so this would be like the fifth chance), he would have everything sketched out and ready to go. He told me he would call me when everything was ready.
Well, I never got that phone call, and now this place owes me $50. Do not go here. The unprofessionalism is absolutely outrageous.
Great Clean Tattoo Palor – My husband and I just got our first tattoos at Alibi Tattoo and it was a great experience. The guys were all professional and very sterile. They even too pictures of my husband and I and watched over my 1 1/2 year old son as we were getting tattooed. I reccommend this place to anybody. And will be returning for future tats. Thanks guys!
all these reviews sound like ex grilfriend – you losers need to write reviews of the work you recieved. Not a jealous string of insults by exs and people whole got fired because they terriable at tattooing. Im the new artist at alibi and i have personally fixed all you losers poorly done work you dont need to talk trust me, and if jeremy was as bad as you say he is why would he fire a artist if he just wants money sounds funny to me. but i have no problems haha
I've seen your work on myspace. Wouldn't let you come near me with a 10 ft pole, thanks.
Jeremy is a Great Artist! – Alibi is the best! Jeremy is a great artist.......his work place is clean, sterile, and very appealing. I would recommend Alibi to anyone. My tattoo is so cool and I have had many compliments on the fine details of it. I would and will go back to Alibi for another tattoo. Thank You Jeremy!
