My hairstylist is Brittany, and she's been doing my hair for about 3 years. I love her honesty in telling me what will or will not work for my hairstyle. It's a great sign when you have folks ask where you get your hair done! Of the salons that she's worked in, Salon Suzanne Marie is by far the best!
Started going to Salon Suzanne Marie a few months ago and this place is awesome. Brittney Winters is the best stylist!! She really listens to what you want done and will make helpful suggestions on what will look good for your hair type. You really should try this place out!!
Megan is the best stylist!! – Megan is the best stylist at Salon Suzanne Marie. I think she recently left though and is now at Headcase salon in Apex. She always does a great job on my hair.She is extremely thorough, listens, and gives you exactly what you want. I would recommend her to anyone. I've been to many stylists who rush through your hair styling and it never comes out the way you want it. But with Megan, she puts tons of foils in my hair and then cuts it the way I like it. I never feel like she is rushing, and that's important to me. Stop by and see her if you want your hair to look great!
WHAT LIES BENEATH?? – After 25+ years of coloring my hair, I decided to make a dramatic change. Tired of the silver poking thru after three weeks of new chestnut color, I said to Susie, "I have an idea!" She enthusiastically agreed and explained the procedure of adding new lighter highlights and toner to blend with my gray . To tell the truth, I really couldn't picture what my hair was going to look like, but I trust Susie completely. I am very pleased with the outcome! I have beautifully blended color that matches my own natural color. As I wait for my hair to grow out, I am comfortable knowing that my hair looks great! Thanks Susie!
Comment on downhill review – I am the stylist the client is talking about and I feel her post is misleading. Her first service was a full highlight, lowlight and gloss which was $75. We were toning down some over highlighting.Her second visit included a $45 haircut. Her second visit she said liked her hair the last time but wanted to be brighter again. When her second visit was completed she said her hair looked better than the first visit. Her call to get in for a correction with her busy schedule is a understatement. She called more than a week later; I told her I could get her in that day she said "no" and then told me she was going on vacation the next day! I remember saying that I wished you had called me earlier so we wouldn't have this problem. She then got mad and was saying "if I pay all this money I don't want my hair looking bad!" I told her to calm down it wasn't that we weren't going to adjust it but; how do you fix it when the client isn't meeting you half way? My only option was to have a junior stylist, not trainee she is fully licensed do her hair. She had the exact time the client needed and could spend extra time with her. I consulted with the stylist on what to do and after the appt to ensure that it went well. The stylist informed me that this horrible mess involved her placing a few extra foils on the sides of her hair a bit closer than I had gotten. I fully accept error if more foils were needed on the sides, but to write a slanderous review that does not accurately account for the truth is wrong. This client needs to understand that communication is key to a successful visit in a salon. If she would have asked about our pricing we could itemize it for her, if she had called right away about her "horrible" highlights we could have adjusted it sooner.
Great first visit...downhill from there – I had a great first experience at this salon. I loved my highlights and the price was wonderful. The second time around was not so great. I went to the same stylist and the hightlights were horrible. It looked like my hair had already grown out a month, and they were very unnatural looking. To make it worse, they charged me way more the second time! When I pay that much for something, I expect to be happy with the result, so I called the stylist to see if she could fix it, and since I have a busy schedule, there was only a certain time I could go back in, but she wasn't working that day, so she got the trainee to "fix" my hair, which was basically just a waste of time since it looked about the same when I left. I told her it looked better because it wasn't her fault to begin with, and I felt bad that she had to try to fix the mess the other stylist made. The only reason I gave two stars is because I was happy with my first visit. But, I won't be going back.
Hair Bliss – After moving to NC I went on the hunt to find the perfect salon that felt like home. After a few trips to get my hair done at Salon Suzanne Marie I felt as if I was a part of their family. When you arrive you are greeted by a smiling, warm receptionist that will not only guide you to the plush waiting area but she can answer any questions you may have about the salon. The environment is breezy and delightful. All of the stylists have their own expressions but they go together as a team perfectly. Growing short hair out is always a task, I went in one afternoon to get my eyebrows done and Megan had an idea she trimmed it up a little and I no longer looked like I was trying to grow my hair out, I had a style. Another example I can give I have had the same hair color most of my life and was interest in a change, my stylist Megan and the whole SSM team made suggestions on what color would make me happy. I am EXCITED to say that my hair looks better than EVER!! No matter where you live these girls are worth the drive. THANKS!!
Great Style – I get tons of compliments on my hair. Shannon does a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend!!
