For the sake of you unfortunate customers of Fosters I ask that you read the fine print of your estimate. In vague terms they are basically saying the following, "This is only an estimate however this estimate may not include the cost of further damage that "we" may do to your vehicle, should "we" damage your vehicle in any way it is your responsibility to pay for it." Keep in mind this is not what is stated in fine print on your estimate but should they damage your car while it's in their possession they will say that's what it means. This is how people get scammed by businesses, they leave their wording very vague with lots of gray area not to mention not inform people that they can and will do further damage to your vehicle. Their response to you will be "file it with insurance" and most people do I assume, and because of their vague wording it gives them room to make more money off people. Take my word for it people DO NOT take your car here, you've been warned. I know everyone's experience at an establishment is different but had I known my experience was a possibly I would have gone elsewhere. I know you may think it won't happen to you but it can! Keep in mind that they have the option to do additional damage to your car and try to reap the benefits from it and that vague statement allows them to do so.
I had a great experience, the best part of the accident
I absolutely loved the service & would recommend anyone getting repairs to fosters for sure!
When I mentioned the popping noise in the driver side door to the mechanic who last changed my oil and filter, he said there was a crack in the metal and advised that I take it to the body shop. I found Foster's on Angie's list. Stan advised that the noise was not a safety issue, and in light of the cars age and the fact that it would cost $800 to remove the panel and make the repair, he would put up with the "pop," which he advised may get more pronounced over time. I asked him to check out the weather stripping. He said this was a 10 minute job, and said if we would get new weather stripping from the dealing he would gladly install it for nothing. I had to ask him to repeat what he said to make sure I'd heard him right! So, I bought the material from the dealer, and Stan installed the new strip for a handshake. "Tell your friends about Foster's," he asked. You can bet he won our future business.
