Myself, and then myself and my husband, had been here several times after moving to Durham and been pleased enough to not look elsewhere. Yesterday we went and of course each had different people for pedicures, and both of us were very unhappy and dissappointed. We have never been in and out of a pedicure chair so quickly. They did let him stay sitting next to me while my toes were painted, however, I wish I would have seen what time it was when we sat down because if I would have, I would have told the manager how quicky we were through. It was like we said we were in a rush to get somewhere. My husband had a woman who did not speak to him; I had a guy who just kept looking around toward the door and then actually said to me he was doing me a favor by putting a second coat of clear on my nails when all I asked for was clear! Don't you normally get 2 coats of a color and then a clear topcoat?! He also asked me if I wanted him to get the dirt out from under my nails! Like this was not something you would normally do, and my nails were not bad! There are good people there, but ask for them if you find them. Without a name, you are taking a chance!
NASTY SALON & Money Hungry Manager/Owner - BEGS for tips!!! – The service at this salon is horrendous! The male techs talk about clubing, strip joints, and drinking while you're trying to enjoy a relaxing the massage and the owner's "ammo" is pitiful! She tells everyone about her "needs" to take care of her sons and get a car in an effort to beckon tips! Then she pointedly asks if you are adding a tip. Very rude! Service is horrible! They also don't properly sanitize their pedicure bowls - I witnessed this myself!
We care about all of our clients! – Dear tarheelgal123, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience at our nail salon. I wanted to take this opportunity to recognize your complaint and to let you know that we truly care about all of our clients. When something like this happens, please do not hesitate to see the Manager immediately. We hope you try our nail salon one more time, and do not judge us from the experience you had with that one employee.

My absolute Fav – I have been going here for years ever since I moved to North Carolina. Every time I have gone there it has been nothing but great friendly service and quality work. I recomend it to all my friends. Not to mention i absoutly adore the new decor. Did I mention you can order a bottle of wine from a few doors down and they will bring it up to you while you get your nails done!! So great for an afternoon with the girls!
Underwhealming experience; terrible manicure – This place was disappointing to say the least. The girl who did my manicure and pedicure very obviously did not want to be working there. She was checking her text messages and talking on her cell phone much of the time she was working on me, and told me how much she hated working there! It was very awkward - not much of a relaxing experience. Not only that, but the manicure itself was terrible. She trimmed my cuticles so low that it was painful and she didn't realize this until i asked her to stop. My nails were jagged when she finished and the nail polish was sloppy. I won't go here again and would not recommend this place to anyone!
Great Nail Salon! – Lee Spa Nails is my favorite place to go when I want to treat myself with a manicure and pedicure. They have the best prices and do a beautiful job. The facility is extremely clean. The staff is very attentive, professional, friendly, and performs with a level of quality many salons I have frequented lack. Also, at other salons I have had problems with them using so much polish that it peels off within a matter of days. I got my nails done at Lee Spa Nails over a week ago and they still look great!
Would not recommend this to ANYONE – I went to this nail salon some time ago, so they may have improved. However, when I went, the technicians were shouting at a sports game on the TV. I asked for a "spa pedicure" but only received a regular pedicure (I was charged appropriately, though). Also, the technician who did my toes had a bad case of the sniffles and a long pinky fingernail.....hmmmm....Yuck. I won't be going back unless I hear that things have improved DRAMATICALLY. My toes looked ok when I left, but it certainly wasn't the experience that I wanted.
