Worst Place Ever – This was the worst place EVER. They've destroyed my nails and refused to re-do them because I did not know the lady's name!!! However, she could not speak correct english so it was complicated trying to understand her (Asian) ebonics. I had to speak with a teenager just to understand what the manager was saying. When attending my (usual) MALL "Southpark" I expect the best, including a PROFESSIONAL nail tech with proper english skills. Nonetheless, if you are looking for the best visit somewhere else.
NEVER AGAIN!!! – My experience here was horrible. And unlike most of the post I have read here I am speaking from my perspective on behalf of another customer that must have been completely embarrassed and humiliated in front of her children. The owner is bullheaded and has no interpersonal or professional skills. She was very nasty and arrogant. I WITNESSED the owner being very rude to two young children and their Mother. The owner spoke very aggressively to this Mother in the presence of her children telling her “to go somewhere else if she wanted CHEAP prices for the children’s nails” and she did so loudly as to humiliate this lady in front of everyone. I heard the price quote for the girls and it was outrages! For a pedicure for a 6 and 7 year old child she quoted 35 per child; the cost for adults is 22. How on earth are the prices for children higher than adults?!
AS FOR ME: I stumbled upon this salon and decided to go ahead and have my nails done so I could have a fresh start for the week. Needless to say I was very turned off by the un-cleanliness of the facility and how my nail technician did not sterilize the equipment after she used it on my nails which indicated to me that it was a very good chance that it wasn’t cleaned prior to me. My nails where rushed and I continuously had to point out errors on my nails to the technician.
I am very dissatisfied with the services here and I personally would not recommend anyone to this salon as I will never return again.
Rachel123 (a.k.a Rachel P.) – Hey Rachel123, the salon your judging is the Avalon Lifestyle Nails Salon in the SOUTHPARK MALL! And they have all A in their salon Inspection, so i think that your mistaken this salon with some other salon, and also there is no guy name Sang that work there. Rachel123 I think your from some other salon and want to ruin Avalon business because their salons are alway busy, aslo I went on another website to check comment and there was another user that had the same username as you that was saying how the salon employees treat the customer poorly. In my opinion, Rachel123, your pathetic since your posting all these lies. Why don't you just be realistic and admit that Avalon Lifestyle Nails Salon in SouthPark Mall can't be hinder by your malicious comments.
worst salon ever!! – I'm new in town and needed a fill (acrylics). I generally trust the user ratings on yelp and Nail Service sounded pretty good and I had walked by there before and thought it looked like a nice place. I didn't make an appointment, but I just happened to get Sang when I walked in ... what a mean horrible guy and terrible nail technician! He had no personality and gave off an unfriendly vibe; didn't try to talk to me and start a conversation at all. I had a thumb nail that had broken off and he glued the new one on crooked and wasn't effective at filing it to look normal. Lame. When he finished painting my nails, I saw there was still specs of my previous color that he hadn't fully removed and there were little black hairs stuck to my nails, all over them, very noticeable. I had him repaint me, because left over polish and disgusting hairs are not acceptable. He seemed very irritated at having to repaint me. Do you value your paycheck, a**hole? Then give the client what she's paying for without the cold attitude! As my fingers were under the dryer for the 2nd time, I took them out to see if they were dry enough for me to get out of there already and again, little black hairs stuck to all my nails! I realized it was the dryer; it was so caked in dust. They should think to clean that! Not only from a common sense point of view, but as a cosmetology student, I would like to think they'd be sanitary and image conscious enough to wipe that down at the end of every day. Then, I get to the register and the price of a fill alone cost just about as much as a fill and deluxe pedicure would have cost at my old nail salon and for "service" that couldn't even begin to compare. Take your money and spend it at a place that will hopefully give you service worth the price and save yourself the time of having to get polished twice and then having to come home and repaint your nails yourself.
Best Nail Salon – great salon, awesome service. A must try experience. For anyone that wants a great nail experience.
my big mistake! – Anyone who says this is a good nail place has not been to anything near a great nail place.
I was staying around the corner and I needed a quick manicure so saw it and went in.
The manicurist had cuts all over her hands which was the first thing that irked me out.
Then, all the tools they were using were just in a box. NOT in a clean package or even in barbicide or similar. She sprayed some disinfectant on the tool before she did my cuticles but that's it.
The wooden stick that they use to clean out under your nails was USED!
My nails chipped the day after I got it and the skin under my cuticles started peeling off. I have never had this happen before and was absolutely disgusted.
Go anywhere else and I guarantee you a better experience. You can't get worse than this.
Possibly the worst Nail experience I've ever had.
Firstly, the woman file most of my nails that she wasn't supposed to, and didn't have the right tools to do anything. She only had a pair of cuticle nipper. No clipper, no oil, no nothing! she was so unprepared
She didn't clean under my nail either.
Don't go there- you'll regret it.
I had to spend $50 dollars getting it fixed that day somewhere else.
I walked out of there unsatisfied !
BEWARE!!! – i've been cut so many times by the women at avalon nails i got a hepitatis b shot...
seriously, unless you're up-to-date on this vaccine, don't bother going here... they cut, badly, frequenltly and the odds in a mani-pedi combo are so high that unless you are extremely thick skinned or have never had a manicure or a pedicure, you're going to get cut...
the owner of this establishment..is suppose to be in business for 20 years but when i ask him what kind of sterilization he did not seem to know what i was talking about..when i complain they gave me a lousy bandaid???and still made me pay for my service but belive me, vaccine or pick a new joint...
OVERRATED – overrated!: you can get the same manicure and pedicure anywhere else.. dont ask for anything special they simply dont get it...
Not for eyebrows!!! – Not really impressed with this place, went to have my brows done and the comb they used on my brows had most of the teeth missing! It's hard to find a place that knows what they are doing, it seems that nail places have popped up all over and this one isn't worth the effort.
