Great hairstylist! – Having gotten very tired of budget-killing haircuts on the West Side, I decided to try this Supercuts based on the 1/27/09 review.
I'm not too sure who the stylist was at that time, but I had my hair cut and styled by an older woman named Lillian. I have awful hair: very fine and dry on top, oily around the edges, and kinky.
Her cut has made it manageable and really nice. It's exactly the length I wanted. She created fewer layers than most stylists I've been to, and that made me nervous, but she definitely knew what she was doing.
All I have to do is put styling gel on it when it is damp, blow it dry gently, pull it into shape, and it's amazing the change!!! Of course I'm returning, and with the absolutely reasonable price I can actually afford to return every 6 weeks.
The people are all sweet-natured and nice. Supercuts is not Juan Juan, so don't expect the ambiance. But remember, you don't have to pay for it, either. Parking is on the street, can be good or bad.
I'd recommend it, and would not be afraid of anyone who was not young: that's a tad ridiculous!!!
Good deal, better than average stylist – The first time I went here, the stylist (I forget her name), an older lady, gave me a horrible haircut. The second time I went, I got an awesome haircut from Ernie. It's been about two months, and I'm due. I took my mom with me the second time, and she got an amazing haircut from her stylist (I forgot her name, too), but she was a young stylist as well. Seems the younger stylists are who to go to here. I'll repost when I get the name of my mom's stylist.
