Excellent Japanese food and INCREDIBLE sushi!. I have been here several times and have loved each and every time! when eating an actual meal, the chefs are incredible and very enjoyable to watch. They are very fast at preparing the meals and the food is amazing. I have also just come in and sat at the sushi bar. I have yet to have sushi from here that was not incredible. It is also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend you try this place!

Sub Par for Sushi. Yamato's has a lovely atmosphere and prices inline with this type of establishment (sit and watch as your food is cooked in front of you). That said, both times I have been there the sushi was stale and bland.

Friendly Staff & A Great Show with Dinner!. This was my first visit here and it was wonderful. It was Saturday Date Night. Arrived at about 6:30PM. The food was wonderful. The service was fast. I loved the chef; he was much better than any Kabuto's chef i have had. I am a HUGE fan of Japanese Steakhouses and this is the best by far. The alcoholic drinks are a tad too expensive (about $7) but the glass was relatively large. Tons of space at the tables and a nice place get dinner with a show! Excellent service and food! And, expect leftovers because they give you so much to eat!

I always enjoy Yamato. I have been to Yamato several times, and have always had a great time. My husband and I have gone by ourselves, and we have also taken the kids. It's nice to sit and watch someone cook your food and they entertain the little ones with the utensils, fire and the various cooking elements. The food is always wonderful, and cooked the way you like. I would recommend this place to anyone, large party or small.

Food Was Fine - Wait Too Long. Typical good show, fine food (steak and shrimp). Basic price about $25 per person, excluding mixed drinks and dessert. Wait to be seated at a table was about 20-miniutes, but then had to sit at the table and wait for a "chef" for another 40-minutes.
