Horrible service at best – We have always loved Sonic so when we moved to our new home in St. Charles, we were glad there was a Sonic nearby. Unfortunately, the service here is horrible. Even for just 2 regular drinks, purchased at the drive-thru, we typically wait about 5 minutes even when we're the only customers there. The servers are rude as well, and more often than not, our order has been wrong. After a year of putting up with this, talking politely to the manager once, and contacting corporate twice, we have given up. It's a real shame that one of their franchises is so poorly run.
If the program would allow a person to give no stars, we would!
As for the review by "Contributor", this is a history of the chain as a whole and has no bearing on this particular restaurant. Sounds like it was written by a Sonic person, to boot.
Retro-outfitted servers deliver burgers, malts and sandwiches to your car at this '50s-style drive-in chain. – In Short
Founded in 1953 as a hamburger-and-root-beer stand, this nostalgic eatery is known for its intercom ordering system and roller-skating carhops. While servers rarely roller skate anymore, the famous made-to-order, all-beef burgers and thick malts are still menu favorites. Other signature items include Toaster sandwiches (made with thick Texas toast), extra-long chili and cheese hot dogs and hand-battered onion rings and tater tots. Desserts include chocolate, vanilla and strawberry shakes and fresh fruit slushes.
