Please do not confuse these people with U.S. Exterior Soluti. I have noticed that someone put on here that Remodel America has open as Exterior Energy Solutions---that may be true -but U.S. Exterior Solutions is in no way associated with these people. U. S. Exterior Solutions is a reputable company headed by Terry Rich and a staff of dependable and honest people. If you need anything exterior--U.S. Exterior Solutions are the people to call.
Remodel America - Energy Craft Builders. I think everyone needs to cut Daniel Bechtold some slack. I feel -just my personal opinion- that his big crime was falling in love with a shyster crook that took advantage of him and bled his company while blaming everybody and their mother-in-law. Dawn Taylor (not married to Daniel Bechtold) has a knack for ruining everything she touches. She has the FECES touch as opposed to the Midas touch. I found these reports about her while checking her and Daniel out again on the Rip off report forum. Lots of information. Pretty scary. Jeez Dan - what were you thinking? Good luck rebuilding - this time without the female white trash equivalent of Bernie Madoff by your side. Log onto the Rip Off Report website and look up these two report numbers, Report: #581592 and Report: #593398. Good luck to everyone getting their money/owed wages back.
Pay Me. So i was dedicated to Remodel America and when u shut down without warning you owed me 3 weeks pay. If you want to clear your name that would be the way to start making it right. I'm glad i have access to many websites that you can post reviews on. Now that i know the name of your new company I have no problem telling the truth to how things were handled when you were no where to be found when you had employees not getting paid to shut your doors. So i can spread the word about the new company with crooked owners or I could keep my mouth shut. Up to you. Please respond if you would like for me to delete this posting and to contact you!
Remodel America exemplary company for 14 years.
This was a phenomenal company for 14 years with no complaints. It was not until Daniel and IDawn left town and a handful of employees started grabbing all they could. The thieves robbed this company and the owners blind.
Not only did Paul, Kirsten, John, Rindy, Craig and Chuck put Remodel America out of business but all the 100 plus other employees that counted on this company to take care of their families. Payroll and bills were paid to the tund of nearly 200,000 for those that remained. It was a catastrophe when they returned. The employees tore down what took years to build.
It is a shame people have to steal to get by. Daniel should have listend to Dawn and fired those handful of employees robbing them blind. What a terrible tragedy such a great company went down. For information or to come back to work for Dawn call 770-627-2775. This has destroyed Daniel a man that was nominated entrepreneur of the year by Merrill Lynch and a man that at one time was a power house and gave all he could to everyone. There is not much left to him now and he will be lucky to survive another year.
Dawn will carry on and has started a new company and ready for the wonderful , honest employees of this company to come back and rebuild. The promise to anyone with any issues is to call this number and we will do all we can to correct the wrongs of the individuals left in charge of what once was a company that was the leader in the industry. God bless those of you that dedicated so much to Remodel America. We are still here for you. Any warranty issues will be addressed to the best of our ability and you will be directed to the manufacturers who ultimately cover any warranty issues.
reply to smackyomama's comment below. smackyomama-first of all, nice name, you sound like someone that is worth listening to. Second of all, I know for a fact that these companies are not the same so why would you compare them, just because you are a bitter ex-employee that got fired from both? I know that I got great quality windows from EES and didn't pay anywhere near what you wrote in your comment that they cost. There was no shadiness about it. They measured my windows, gave me a price, put the wondows in, and boom, done deal.
Remodel America Owners At It Again?. After months of searching I have found the owners of Remdel America and they have re-opened as Energy Craft Builders in Atlanta, GA. They can be reached at (678)600-9720. As far as I can tell they have not opened an office in Nashville, TN. But this is the same people that owned and operated Remodel America. Dawn and Dan Bechtold! So if you are like me and want some answers they are who you need to call!
Nashville's Newest Business. I have heard that Remodel America has changed to Exterior Energy Solutions. Be very careful! Records show they have been in business since Feb 2009.
Beware! Trash running this company!. My Mom worked for Remodel America when they shut down. The manager told them that Friday (Dec 08) that if they recieved a check in the mail then the employees could come to work. If they didn't, then they couldn't come to work. At first we didn't understand what was going on. Then come to find out the a$$ of an owner told the plant manager to keep the employees coming in although he had no intentions of paying them. My Mom ended up not getting a check for the last 9 days of work and to beat all, she found out through the bank that the last check they gave her BOUNCED and the bank charged her a fee and wouldn't refund her. Bank of America, go figure!!! Here she is 3 weeks without pay. Luckily she was able to find a job within two weeks, but only after having to move out of her apartment due to fear of not finding another job in this ecomony. I hate this company and I hope that trash friggin pays for what he did to my Mom and her coworkers. I haven't been able to find out if they are completely out of business or just this location, but please do not support them in any way. My Mom said she had to field the phone calls from angry customers who wanted what they paid for. The managers said to tell them they were out of the office.This is a shady company and CANNOT be trusted. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They do not live up to 49% Pledge or $500.00 back. We got windows from remodel america 1 1/2 years ago. Our electricity bill was supposed to be slashed by 49% or you get $500.00 back. Went to Electric company because they said I needed to prove it, got paperwork and sent it to remodel america. Then they wrote back saying I needed something showing Killowatts usage, so I got that sent that in, been trying to get $500.00 for 3 months now. First they said check would be mailed November 15, then they said it was in the mail, been talking to Atlanta and they said they would handle it. Been days, now tried to call and mailbox is full December 23, 2008. They do not stick with the 49% pledge.
Psycho salesmen. I called to get an estimate last week. The guy came out and did the presentation. I liked the windows and all but they started off at 9,000 for 9 windows. They came down to 5,000 which was still more than I was wanting to spend. I told him I just wanted to check around on pricing with other companies. They were the first ones I had called. He became very iritated and began slamming things around and told me it was a waste of his time to come to my home. He made me feel threatened in my own home. I would not recommend them. I ended up using another company with the same quality windows for half the price. And they were no haggle. Very professional and curteous. Right on time for everything. Check around before you get suckered in. They start off really high then drop down to still high but try to make you feel like you are getting a deal
