paying for the look of the place not the food. – if i were you id just go down the street to hana's. but if you must be trendy and are an uptown hipster than you'll probabley love ninja. the service is subpar and the sushi is alittle high priced for what you get. also the miso soup almost all water and no soy. they do have a cool clock on the wall that does this cool thig every hour, go see for youself. i also have found pieces of crab shell and shrimp peelings in my roll before, not good.

just not worth it and all hype to me.

great all over – They cater for vegetarians here. You get noodles, and vege sushi options and tofu. They also have a great ice-cream dessert and have good carrot cake for a Japanese restaurant.

This active sushi bar turns out beautiful rolls and sashimi for crowds of loyal customers. – The Scene
Ninja had to move out of its close quarters to accommodate the crowds that would gather for it's first rate sushi and other Japanese fare. Though things can still get crowded with students, Uptown regulars and young families toting small children, it's worth it.

The Food
The sushi bar dominates the house and the menu, but meat-eaters will also find a fair amount of traditional grilled teriyaki options, as well as tempura, donburi (rice topped with fish or meat) and noodle dishes. Always start by asking the sushi chef about the day's fresh catch. A beautifully presented rainbow roll is both an artistic wonder and a bargain at well under 10 bucks. The grilled yellowtail neck appetizer, though conceptually challenging, is a smoky, flaky wonder of the sea.

Best sushi! – I have gone to most Japanese restaurants in the area and Ninja has, by far the best sushi! It is always fresh! I love it.
