joeyb3 – My family has been going to Crescent City Steakhouse for years. Although my wife and I hadn't been in a couple of years, we recently had the pleasure of dinning there last weekend. The food is as fantastic as it ever was. Reading these other reviews makes my mouth water. Crescent City is THE place for steaks in New Orleans.
Terrible service – Steak was OK, potato was great. Service was terrible. Was there on a Saturday afternoon with a date. Only 2 other couples in the place, but service was exceptionally inattentive and slow. Heck, had to wait nearly 45 minutes to get the check!
And the interior reminded me of a public restroom.
I don't understand why the natives like the place.
My Favorite New Orleans Steakhouse – Just reading about the Crescent City Steakhouse makes me hungry to go there. This is the quintessential old fashioned unpretentios real deal steakhouse in New Orleans; and I've lived here all my life. The service is no frills but friendly . The finest steaks in town, bar none. Some of the sides could use a little polish in terms of fresh vs. frozen, but that's no major gripe. Great potatoes in all styles, the juiciest most full flavored meats anywhere and the original sizzled in butter presentation ripped off by Ruth's Chris down the street...which is damned near twice the price and half the quality. When you walk in you know that you are in a local New Orleans "joint" which beats all! Real food for real people. It's where musicians, writers, policemen, families, dates and all feel welcomed. And the booths are a neat thing, too.

First time tradition – This restaurant should be a part of your lives. This a the place where children can act like grown-ups, and where grown-ups can enjoy their maturity. It has romance, and atmosphere, and history. Even if it is your first time, it feels like tradition.
Only in N'Orleans!@ – What a unique ands great steakhouse! Almost as fine as Ruth Chris but at about a 40% discount. Very plain but friendly and wonderful!!
Try the Onion Rings First! – The steak was excellent, and that was to be expected, but the onion rings were superb. Good salad dressing, although the salad itself was nothing too exceptional. It is worth the trip.
There are "private booths" for the romantic couple, but not as a whole.
Mouthwatering – It was my first time dining at Crescent City Steak House, But certainly will not be my last. Best steak I ever had
10 – Great steaks, side orders and garlic bread for a very, very reasonable price! Option of a cozy atmosphere!
SIXTH? SIXTH?? SIXTH??? – Crescent City Steakhouse is a MUST if you are a steak lover in New Orleans. You get ONLY the finest, well-marbled dry aged beef here.
The service is friendly and lively and among the best to be had in New Orleans. If you want to know where Ruth Fertel got the idea for Chris Steakhouse, vist Crecent City!
Best Steak in the Nation – The Crescent City Steak House is the best steak house in the nation. The low publicity and isolated location keep the place quite and relaxed. Not many people know of the delightful steaks this restaurant has to offer. If you want steak this is the place for you.
