Nothing really fancy about this place, just a good spot to get a quick burger and fries or other diner food. They also have very big breakfasts!

An Institution of The "Lazy Day Saturday" in Westwood – Headlines was and will always be an institution of my college career at UCLA. Nothing is better than spending a Saturday morning with your friends from the night before talking about what happened/ or didn't over the classic Westwood Omelet.

If you're looking for something a little less breakfasty, their Garden Salad is also a top notch pick. The produce is extremely fresh, and comes in a chilled bowl.

If you haven't been to Headlines in Westwood- you're missing out.

AWESOME omelettes – Seriously, one of THE best omelettes in town. Huge, cheesy and delicious, and hash browns to match. Just a big ol' foldover of eggs and yummies, a fantastic weekend breakfast. They're also one of the only places that will actually make the potatoes extra crispy when you ask them to. Really, really love em!

no fuss or frills type of place – This is one of those mom and pop breakfast places that you want to go to on a Sunday morning to have a no-fuss breakfast. I usually stop by the nearby newsstand on the corner of Kinross and Westwood and pick up a magazine or paper and just enjoy my breakfast at the bar seating. The service is pleasantly speedy given the large crowd of regulars that frequent the place. I highly recommend it!

Great, affordable food – This restaurant is walking distance for many UCLA students so as an undergraduate my friends and I would end up here. It's a great place to go when you're hungry and haven't got too much cash to spare. The food is just great, my favorite is the Westwood Omelette, and my husband always picks the hotwings. It can be hard to find seating during the busy time, but if you stick it out it's definitely worth the wait.

the BEST breakfast food you can get! – Without a doubt the BEST breakfast food place!!! Great food and service. You can get breakfast food any time you want. The location is great (near the campus!) and its inexpensive. My personal favorite is the spanish omelette. They also have the best french fries- both regular and curly. Everything comes out fresh and delicious! Their hamburgers are pretty great too - big fat and juicy. Yum!

Cheap food, big portions! – Headlines is not somewhere to go for the ambience or to bring out-of-town guests: it is a straight-up diner, with limited seating and a kitchen area visible to patrons. Still, for what it is, it's great. Omelettes are good and cheesy, and sandwiches and burgers are juicy, stuffed, and great comfort-food eats. What's best is the huge portions, which are an AWESOME deal for the price. A breakfast special comes with a tray laden with eggs, hash browns, sausage links, AND a bagel, and your typical burger is stuffed with two patties and heaped with delicious, piping-hot french fries. I'm a fan!

Great Place!!!!!!!! – If you're a breakfast person then this is the spot. It's right smack in the middle of a college-town atmosphere as UCLA is not too far away. The prices are great and affordable. Definitely recommend trying the hot wings and their blueberry pancakes.

Extra! Extra!...Great Breakfasts! – If you go to headlines for the first time make sure its for breakfast. It will set the tone for the rest of your visits. The Westwood Omelette is a tantalizing carwreck of eggs and cheese mangled around bacon, tomato, and avacado. It's served with a generous portion of home fried potatoes with a side of the toast of your choosing.

OHH YEAHH!!! – Headlines is the epitome of the american cafe. their blt's are to die for, and each meal includes their exquisite fries. it's the kind of place that you could lounge around with a group of friends and talk until the wee hours, or at least until it closes. breakfast is obviously highly recommended, if you've ever driven by on broxton and seen the firetruck illegally parked and the hoard of firemen that can be seen eating there every morning. definately an l.a. treasure, set in our own "college town" "that never sleeps", westwood. a visit is a must have for all.
