Reviews for Falafel King

If you're ever feeling particularly poor or short on cash, eat some falafel. It's like $1 a ball and so delicious and filling.

Absolutely the best !!! – I will not eat a falafel anywhere else because I am afraid no one else can compare (never knew a chickpea could taste sooooo good). I have been eating here for the last 25-30 years (although they have moved a couple of times from their original location). The falafel is phenomenal. The chips are incredible on top of it. The majic touch. I used to work in Westwood. While I do not work or live in the area now, I often go there when I am anywhere remotely near. My mouth is watering now just thinking about it. I may have to make a special trip tonight after work.

Inexpensive Middle Eastern eats for Westsiders on the go. – In Short
College students, area employees and post-happy-hour noshers place their orders at the counter, then either slip into one of many red-vinyl booths or head out to eat in the car. Orders arrive piled high, spilling over the edges of Styrofoam plates. The restaurant's namesake, fried chickpea balls, are well-seasoned and bright green inside. Also on the menu: chicken shawarma, lamb shish kabob, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, spicy Turksh salad and light, grainy tabouli.

Superb food! – I could eat lunch here every day and never get tired of the food. The chicken kabob is made fresh to order and is juicy and tasty. In addition to your kabob, you get to choose salad or rice (three types to choose from) plus two other side dishes, such as hummus (one of my favorites), tabouleh, and many others. You also get a pita and the BEST chips you have ever had. They are battered dipped and fried (so you may not want to eat too many :)). Dip them in hummus and your mouth will thank you! Not only is the food really good, but the owner and his staff are always friendly and provide excellent service.
